If you’re traveling along I-95 near Fredericksburg, Virginia, the Silver Diner is one of our favorite places to stop for breakfast or lunch. We’ve been here several times and for us it never disappoints.
This visit was just as good as we remembered. I ordered the Philly Omelette with a warm biscuit and fresh fruit, and everything was delicious. Jane had the Summer Special – a Lobster Roll with fries, and she loved every bite.
What really made this visit special was our server, Reilly. She was incredibly sweet, polite, friendly, and attentive from the moment we sat down. She made us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our meal, and her outstanding customer service truly deserves five stars.
The food is consistently fresh, the service is exceptional, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. Whether you’re passing through on I-95 or you’re local to the Fredericksburg area, we highly recommend stopping by the Silver Diner. It’s one of those places we’re always happy to return to.
Had a great 4th of July family dinner. Our server, Jose, out the fredericksburg location, gave us an amazing 1st experience. Food was exceptional. We ordered and food was given relatively quick. Loved the attention to detail. Very family oriented, menus gave great options. Great Halal and Vegan options. Definitely worth another visit soon.
After an exhausting five-hour ride, my girlfriend and I decided to eat here — and that was the best choice we could have made.
This is an exceptional diner with a phenomenal staff, excellent food and drinks, and a comfortable atmosphere.
Will was our server and he was exemplary. To say he took care of us was an understatement. Will knew we were wiped out from traveling and helped us navigate the menu, drinks, and dessert. He's a fantastic ambassador to Silver Diner.
My girlfriend dined on a fresh house salad (no tomatoes by request) with thousand island dressing. She also had their fresh chicken tenders with dipping sauces. The chicken was lean and juicy.
I had the beat salad with a spicy sauce that proved to be as delicious as it was refreshing. My entree was cod on quinoa with asparagus and stewed tomatoes. Absolutely perfect from texture to flavor.
We shared their brownie with ice cream. That brownie was thick, moist, and chocolatey.
And our drinks were amazing.
The manager also made the rounds to make certain everyone was happy.
We cannot thank Will and the Silver Diner staff, from service to kitchen, enough for their stellar hospitality.

We had the best lunch yesterday at Silver Diner! My wife, son, and I went, and everything was fantastic. The food came out hot and delicious, our waitress was great, and the service was super fast. My soda was perfectly bubbly—everything was on point. We can't wait to go back again soon!
Disappointment today. Lobster rolls are expensive and a huge disappointment. The lobster did not have any taste. My guess is its not fresh lobster and probably previously frozen. There was more Corn, Beans. And Onions than Lobster. Definitely the worst lobster roll that we have ever had. The portion of lobster was tiny, and the bun is way too big for the small amount of lobster you get. The fries were so salty that they were inedible. We sent the food back, talked to the manager and left to go to Basilico.
