We returned to Carrabbas to celebrate our Anniversary together, this time with just two of us. We had a gift card. The food was really good, and the service from an older lady was exemplary. We really enjoyed the ambiance of a late lunch. The scallops were a bit fishy and we had our salad arrive while we were still enjoying our appetizer, but other than that, I think Carrabbas made a necessary change for the good. We received a large portion that we wrre able to eat part of and take some home. They also offered $10 take home meals.
Chuck, the manager came to our table to check on everything after lunch was over, which was a nice touch. I have edited my original review to better reflect our last experience the other day. We will definitely return.
We took my sister there to celebrate my sister's Birthday. We were not impressed with the food or service! The server was absolutely awful. She bot only overcharged us for items, but she was very absent minded. They brought 3 of drinks, but forgot my husband's beer, which was short because they ran out. Then when our salads (which were not very appealing) arrived, they again forgot his soup. We ended up having to flag down other servers to get our needs met because we couldn't find our server. She would say she would bring more water or soda refills and then completely forget. She admitted to forgetting, which was excusable the first 2 times, but after that, it became really annoying. When you pay premium prices for dinner, it seems like the service would be better. That was not the case.
The chicken Piccatta was not served on a bed of pasta like it typically is. Instead, there was a $5.98 upcharge for the side of fettuccine that came with the meal. They charged us for gorganzola cheese when we asked for extra garlic. The lobster ravioli was very fishy and despite us asking to see if we could get cheese ravioli (which is typically on the children's menu) our request went unanswered by our server once again. She was going to ask the kitchen if we could order it as an entree.
We had called ahead for a booth, yet were seated at a small table for 4 of us. Usually they remove the wine glasses if you dont order any, and there's no room, but this didn't happen until way after our entrees were served. It was cramped and our used soup and salad plates were not removed prior to our entrees arriving.
We were celebrating a Birthday and when we arrived at 6:30pm, they had sung in Italian to our neighboring table. After we finished, we asked our server to have them sing and she again said she would, but that never happened either. They did bring her a piece of cake which was nice, but just not right. We finally had to ask for the ticket because we just wanted to go. We were thirsty and frustrated. Our server, who had purple highlights and studs in her gums really didn't do Carrabbas justice. She was either overwhelmed or something. It really ruined our celebration. We would not recommend Carrabbas to anyone going forward.
