What a nice restaurant. This is hidden away but really nicely done, see the photos. Great view waterside. The staff gives off a family vibe and the food was great at a reasonable price. If you like Mexican food and are in the area, give it a try. I think you will like it

First off, let me say I typically come here once a month and its normally really great but the last two times I have been service has shoddy, not enough wait staff to handle the crowd, and there were around 10 tables and booths open inside and about half capacity on the outside deck. Middle isle had multiple tables with spilled drinks running on the floor. Crumbs for chips, no salsa. Running out of beer on tap. Was served food with no silverware.

Disappointing- We use to come here often. The last few times have not been good. First thing we noticed is the restaurant is hot. They had fans going and didn’t feel like there was any to little air conditioning on. We’ve noticed the last few times coming in that there’s been no air conditioning and fans going. Floors are slick from the humidity. Looking around, the restaurant was slightly busy but not crowded. There was trash on the floor under several tables and staff was just lounging at the entrance towards the counter. We were seated promptly and chips and salsa were brought out fairly quickly. As far as service. The staff - at least the last few times we’ve been does not come and check on refills or if we need anything else. Right after the food hits the table someone does come over but other than that you almost have to hunt down your server. I had to approach the front counter to get refills and at the end our check. I get the feeling they are being cheap. Not fixing the A/C and not refilling your drinks seems like an establishment that has given up and doesn’t care. Lots of flys you have to fight off your food. - Another thing we’ve noticed the last time we came in as well. - Our visits have been months apart so it’s not like we come in daily or weekly. - When we first visited this place they always seemed like they were having fun and the place was very lively. There was a male manager that was always there, he use to come around to the tables and make you laugh, and was always present - Sadly haven’t seen him at all. - definitely wouldn’t recommend going there and I will probably start going to the Mexican restaurant in Mineral or Mariachi in Gordonsville. - they are a little hike but the food and service are amazing. We always come home with tons of extra food.

Had an amazing time with our party of 10 sitting outside on a beautiful summer evening. Daniel, our host, was exceptional. Attentive, witty, and super helpful with recommendations. He was part of what made the experience so memorable. We loved the food and drinks too.
