So so good! Service, food, atmosphere... all of it was awesome for brunch in Oceanside. We got the Southern Chicken Benny and the Brisket Hash plus the coffee cake pancake. We'll definitely be back! Oh and hubby loved the unique Bloody Mary he ordered.
Our server took great care of us as well and was super patient with our kiddos.
We came here as a big group on an early Sunday morning around 9am. The restaurant was still pretty empty at that time so luckily we were seated right away. By the time we left, there was a bunch of people waiting to be seated.
Everything we ordered was delicious. Everyone liked what they got, which is hard to do with a dozen of us.
It took is awhile to decide what to order. Hard to make up our minds with so many tasty dishes on the menu. Their nice manager helped us with a few suggestions such as the Bacon Benedict, the Eggs in Purgatory (shashuka), and Green eggs.
Had the Eggs in Purgatory and the sauce was absolutely full of flavors. One of the best shashukas that we've had. The bread bowl was a great concept but it was a little hard to tear. I wish it was a bit thinner. Ended up using a knife to cut the thick bread bowl.
It's a beautiful open and airy restaurant. Good was delicious. Service was excellent. We will be back if we're in the area again.

We hit up Toasted Gastrobrunch in Oceanside several times while in Oceanside, and wow—what a spot! The place has a bright, welcoming atmosphere with cozy indoor seating and a sunny patio that's perfect for people-watching in downtown Oceanside. Service was quick and friendly even on a busy holiday morning.
Monte Cristo — Crispy, golden, and stuffed perfectly, with the sweet-savory balance and powdered sugar dusting.
Chicken and Waffles — The chicken was super crispy and juicy, waffles fluffy, and hot sauce syrup drizzle. Genius move.
Steak and Eggs — Steak cooked right, eggs over easy, and those potatoes on the side.
Eggs Benedict — Classic but elevated—perfectly poached eggs, rich hollandaise that wasn't too heavy.
ABC Hash — Avocado, pork belly, cheddar, potatoes, topped with two up eggs. The pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth tender, creamy avocado balanced the richness, and everything came together so well. Portions are generous too!
Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Coffee was strong and hot, and we loved the little touches like house-made jams. Great value for the quality—definitely worth it if you're in the area craving elevated brunch. We'll be back for sure, maybe to try the smoked salmon toast or kanafee next time!

Toasted is the kind of brunch spot that gets everything right. From the moment we walked in, the restaurant felt bright, inviting, and full of energy. The modern design, beautiful décor, and lively atmosphere make it a great place to meet friends, celebrate a special occasion, or simply enjoy a relaxing brunch.
The service was excellent throughout our visit. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, making sure our drinks stayed full and checking in regularly without ever feeling intrusive. You can tell the team genuinely cares about creating a great experience for guests.
We started with the Mimosa Flight featuring the Classic, Lavender Creamsicle, and Prickly Pear flavors. Each one was refreshing and well-balanced, offering something different while still feeling light and perfect for brunch. The presentation was also a fun touch that made the experience feel special.
For food, we tried the new Pancake Flight, which was one of the highlights of the meal. Each pancake had its own unique flavor and toppings, from colorful and playful to rich and indulgent. The pancakes were fluffy, fresh, and generously portioned, making them perfect for sharing.
The Chicken and Waffles were another standout dish. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned perfectly. Paired with the soft, fluffy waffle, it created the ideal combination of sweet and savory flavors. Every bite was comforting and satisfying.
We also ordered the Green Monster, which was both impressive and delicious. Loaded with garnishes and packed with flavor, it was one of the most unique brunch cocktails we’ve had and definitely worth trying.
What really makes Toasted stand out is the complete experience. Great food, creative drinks, a stylish atmosphere, and genuinely welcoming staff all come together to create a brunch destination that’s easy to recommend. If you’re searching for a top brunch restaurant in California with excellent service and memorable dishes, Toasted deserves a spot on your list. We’ll definitely be back.

Great food, but be prepared to wait it’s one of those spots where patience really matters.
It was pretty busy when we went, with about a 30-minute wait to be seated. We ordered right away as soon as we sat down, but it still took over an hour for the food to come out just something to keep in mind. It did seem like a rush, though. Melanie was our server and was kind and attentive despite how busy it was.
I had the steak and eggs, which were really good, the steak came with a sauce that caught me off guard but worked well, and the cheesy potato balls were a fun and flavorful surprise. My friend ordered the chilaquiles, a popular item, but found them underwhelming, too spicy and lacking flavor, even though she enjoys spice.
Overall, I’d come back again, just knowing ahead of time that the wait can be long.
