This Mexican restaurant was one of our favorite Cape May dining experiences. First tip: ask to sit outside on the second floor. The view is amazing, and it is the perfect spot for people watching while you enjoy your meal. Honestly, that was one of my favorite parts of the whole experience.
Our whole family loved our meals, and the choices were fabulous. I especially appreciated that I could build a bowl exactly the way I wanted. I am usually vegan and also need gluten free options, but I occasionally make a seafood exception, and the fish options here made that very easy. Since I needed gluten free, I could choose the grouper or grilled shrimp. I went with the grouper, and it was fabulous with lime rice and black beans.
The rest of my family had fun exploring the menu and choosing interesting dishes that were not necessarily gluten free or meat free. The carnitas were especially tasty. They also have a great drink menu, and the jalapeño margarita is out of this world.
Between the food, the drinks, the view, and the relaxed Cape May atmosphere, this was such a memorable meal. Truth be told, we went back a second time before leaving from vacation because it was truly that good!
The BEST margaritas of my life! My husband and I went on a date night here last night, and it was so so great! The upstairs bartenders were perfection, the coconut margarita was the best margarita of my life!!! And the mango habanero marg with added jalapeños was such a great sweet heat drink! The pork belly tacos were amazing! Sauced up, great flavor, and the pork belly was so crispy! We also got the Al pastor and carne asada tacos! Our waitress Lizabeth gave great suggestions, was so nice and friendly - her service was on point and she really went above and beyond! The food, outdoor ambience, and phenomenal service made for the perfect parents night out dinner!

If you're looking for a fun, energetic restaurant with a South Beach vibe, Taco Caballito delivers. The atmosphere is lively, with sports playing throughout the restaurant, a large bar, and an upbeat crowd that makes it a great place to hang out with friends.
The food is authentic Mexican, packed with flavor, and everything we tried was delicious. The combination of great food, vibrant atmosphere, and friendly energy makes this a spot worth coming back to.
One thing to keep in mind is that there is a nominal credit card processing fee, so you'll pay a little extra if you don't use cash. Overall, it's a fantastic place for authentic Mexican food, drinks, and a fun night out.

Chips and guacamole were great! The coconut shrimp taco was banging crispy with a sweet mango relish and crunchy cabbage and a killer spicy mayo sauce - no notes. The only thing I’d change would be the drinks. While the margs had a heavy pour (A+) the mixers used were a bit to cloyingly sweet even for someone who generally prefers a sweeter drink. Otherwise the location and view were the perfect start to our vacation.

Came here on a date night with my boyfriend! We ended up sitting at the upstairs bar (we were waiting for a table and then decided to skip out on the table and eat at the bar.) Justin the bartender was great! He was funny, energetic and the drinks he made us were fantastic! The food was delicious & there are plenty of gluten free options!
