I almost skipped Fins after reading several reviews saying the food was "just okay" or that the lobster roll wasn't worth it. I'm glad I decided to try it anyway because my experience was the complete opposite.
Everything I ordered was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The service was exceptional from beginning to end. Every employee I interacted with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The atmosphere was fun and relaxed, making it the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring Cape May.
I'm glad I formed my own opinion instead of relying on the reviews. I'd definitely come back.
Side note: I went for dinner. Not much options open late. They had a live band. I sat outside where it was quieter and just street life noise. Very calm. Very appreciated.
We have visited Fins three times in the last four years when we visit Cape May. My husband loves their Lobster Cobb Salad! The first time we went in 2023 he said it was incredible, and literally talked about the salad for the whole year. So when we visited in 2024, he was super let down when the quality and flavor did not live up to the hype of our first visit. We almost didn’t go back this year, but decided to try one last time. And boy are we happy we did! I’m happy to report the salad, service and food is back on track! I’m allergic to fish, so I had a fried chicken tender buffalo wrap made to order – not on the menu - and it was awesome! Definitely recommend for a great lunch or dinner spot. Remember, this is good vibes, chill restaurant with solid food - not a fine dining establishment!
There was no weight, and the host sat as quickly outdoors. It was our first dining experience with our new daughter. And I made the experience seamless and easy, removing chairs from the tables to allow us to stroller by the table. Really appreciated that.
Our server, Barkai (I’m not sure of spelling) was excellent, kind and attentive.

I rate heavy on food compared to service and atmosphere. So im gonna go with 3 stars but rising . Mussel excellent! Grouper bites cooked perfect but extremely bland. Flat Iron steak sandwhich was perfect cooked and season but was in strips with an unimpressive roll. Great staff. Will definitely give it another try.

Would love to give more stars for the amazing food but the workers there just honestly weren’t nice at all. Got snarky comments when we asked for silverware after we were never given any, laugh at for wrong pronunciation of a dish and overheard being made fun of my host for wanted to sit by the fishes loll. Should’ve just sat ourselves and let the host be on their phones. Food was phenomenal and Apollo had the best attitude and actually made our experience significantly better.

Excellent! Stopped in for lunch on a hot day in June. No wait, exceedingly clean environment and super service. Had the “appetizer” chicken tacos - large portions and priced as expected. Would def recommend.
