Mayer’s has hands down the best burger in Cape May County! Absolutely phenomenal and so delicious. I only wish they were open year-round so I could eat one all the time! The drinks are amazing, and the staff is incredibly welcoming. Even if you’ve only been in once, they remember you and greet you with open arms. The owner is so sweet, Kristin, Molly, and Mel are outstanding and make every visit feel so special. Such a special place.

I am pissed. Waited an hour for a table. Walked inside and was deafened immediately. Typical Jersey water. Shirley Temple was one of the worst I’ve ever had. Lemonade was da bomb tho. Fries had zero potato in them. Calamari did not come with marinara and had a total of 8 pieces and might as well be labeled as a salad with all the greens. My main course of chicken was simply breading with oranges on top and mystery sauce that I was not aware of when ordering. If I ever come here again, I will order a lemonade and walk out. Could not get the bathroom door to lock. Might as well walk to Wawa and eat, better bang for your buck.

We’ve been waiting a long time to try this “hidden gem” although it’s not so hidden anymore as Philly Inky’s Craig Laban named it one of 20 places for seafood down the Jersey Shore this month. My wife had the famous scallops and thought they were delicious, reminded her of classic, fresh taste of the shore scallops from youth. My burger was good. Fries were tasty. Drinks were proper. Service was attentive. The scallops alone are reason to return.

We had a great first experience here a few weeks back. Excellent shore vibes, friendly hospitality, fast service, amazing food. Especially loved the calamari (perfect texture, great add-ins) and scallops (so sweet lightly fried but not greasy), plus the delicious carrots that were on special. Drinks were on point as well. Chocolate mousse was the cherry on top for dessert! Can’t wait to return again later this summer 😎
