Latitudes sits in what might be the most unfairly beautiful location in Key West — on its own private island, just a quick boat ride away. The shuttle runs about every 20–30 minutes, and yes, it’s complimentary — but only if you’re a guest or lucky enough to have scored a reservation.
We went for lunch and it delivered across the board. Lobster bisque? Rich and perfectly balanced. Artisan cheese? Thoughtfully curated. Quesadilla and yellowtail? Both excellent. Service was polished without being stiff, and the whole atmosphere makes you want to pause time and ignore the busy life outside the island forever.
If you’ve ever wanted to feel like you had a meal in one of the The White Lotus locations (minus the drama and suspicious plot twists) this is the spot.
Pro tip: reservations aren’t optional.
The restaurant is located on Sunset Key, a small island just a 10-minute complimentary ferry ride from the Key West cruise pier. The boat ride itself is a nice touch and makes the experience feel even more special.
The setting is beautiful, with stunning waterfront views and a romantic, exclusive atmosphere. The service was good, but I found the lunch menu to be quite limited, and the food didn’t quite match the upscale feel of the restaurant. The burger was decent but tasted like something you could find almost anywhere. The lobster bisque had good flavor, although it had separated a bit. The desserts were enjoyable.
That said, the location is what truly makes this place special. Next time, I’d make a reservation around sunset. I’m sure the dinner menu offers more variety, and the sunset views and evening lights would make for an even more memorable experience.
We had a wonderful experience at Latitudes, Sunset Key! A special thank you to their Manager Carter for the warm hospitality and making us feel so welcome. Our server, Alex, did a fantastic job. His food recommendations were outstanding and his attentive service made our evening even more enjoyable.
The entire experience was exceptional, from the amazing food selection to watching the breathtaking sunset while enjoying dinner. The entire staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We highly recommend dining at Latitudes and can't wait to return!
Still in awe. We had reservations for our 20th wedding anniversary. 915pm was much later then we a wanted but I procrastinated and didn't make reservations early enough. However, even at 915p it was the most perfect dinner we've ever had. The service was so good, the atmosphere was gorgeous and the food was absolutely amazing. Mouth watering Surf n turf and the Pan roasted Bell & Evans Chicken were both superb. Taking the ferry to the private island of Sunset Key was awesome as well. 10/10
If you are looking for something different, not just a meal but a dining destination experience, Latitudes is what you seek. A quick ferry across the water from the Mallory Square area offers a unique KW dining getaway. The food was exceptional and the service was on par with a fancier restaurant. The views are gorgeous and you feel more exclusive when choosing this place. I highly recommend it for special occasions or as a true dining surprise. Just make sure you plan well in advance and secure a reservation (you need one). I’d suggest several weeks out especially if you want to see the Gulf swallow the setting sun!
