The tacos were delicious! My favorite was the Korean BBQ beef short rib and my friend's was the cayo fish. We loved both plus the yum yum shrimp. It wasn't busy when I went (at 4 PM on a Tuesday in early August). The cashier was friendly, and the food came out in 5-10 minutes. I liked the outdoor, casual vibe of the place. I'll definitely be back for the tacos again! Small tortilla but totally stuffed, and so worth $4 each for Taco Tuesday or happy hour trio.
🥪🌮🍺🚛🌴 Maybe it was the pouring rain that dampened everyone’s spirits, but Garbo’s Grill just wasn’t quite worth the hype. They’re extremely, and I mean very, strict about the happy hour times, and it’s also surprisingly difficult to access from inside its host venue, Hank’s Hair of the Dog Saloon. To their credit, the food presentation was inviting and well done, but at this price point I was hoping for something a little more elevated than pre-packaged chips as the featured side. Maybe that’s just me.
The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was nice. However, it would have been better if the indoor space had been a bit cooler. Interestingly, the restroom was the coolest area in the place. The Korean BBQ taco was the best item we ordered. Overall, everything was good, but it would be even better with a slightly less salty flavor.
Stopped bye for dinner for the best hotdogs on the island. They have specialty hotdogs on the menu but you can order yours plain an add whatever you want. This dog is charbroiled on the grill and hot thru and thru. We ordered a Mango dog from the menu plus 3 plain dogs plus mustard, ketchup and raw onions. Place your order at the trailer and pickup when the beeper calls you that it's ready. This is a hotdog🌭...but the time they take to cook them gives them all the chargrilled taste. I am a hotdog 🌭 fanatic and this is one of the best dogs I've had in a longtime.
Was recommended this spot for Happy Hour- and it did not disappoint!!! The yummy taco trio ($11)and a local draft beer ($5) was a bargain in Key West! They also had live music! Great place! Like most Key West locations you are likely to see a rooster wandering around!
