Pops birthday dinner celebration with friends. The dining experience was wonderful and the food was delicious. My table mates & I started with the Wedge Salad(s), oh my word! The crispy pork belly chunks were a welcomed addition and surprise! We enjoyed shrimp cocktail in a martini glass (yum) and my friends had steak & lobster, lobster Oscar, and grouper Oscar Not one thing missing from a delicious meal. I would have given 5 starts all the way except for the incredibly long wait for wine order to come with dinner entrees. Those who ordered wine, unfortunately their food got cold waiting for it. That should’ve been avoided at all costs.
Desserts did not disappoint. The key lime pie with toasted meringue was a huge hit, as was the key lime sorbet and the profiteroles were so so, nothing unique or really special, but was okay.
Delightful experience dining at A&B Lobster House in Key West this week. Don’t be fooled by the low rating, dragged down by odd reviews! Beautiful location overlooking the marina in the Key West bight. Pavel was our waiter, did a fantastic job, helped us navigate the menu. Attentive but not intrusive!
Dinner was excellent, cocktails followed by Pinot Grigio, grilled scallop with caviar, crab cakes, and triple-tail catch of the day, rare menu item … all delicious! Great location, fine dining! Ambiance awesome. Highly recommend!
We went to A & B Lobster House for our 32nd wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint. The food was fantastic! We started with a colossal shrimp cocktail. Huge perfectly cooked shrimp with cocktail sauce. I got the Caribbean lobster oscar and hubby got the grouper oscar both delicious. The warm bread was tasty as well. Our great server Robert brought us a scrumptious fudgy dessert with a Happy Anniversary chocolate sign on it. The atmosphere, service and food were the best!
We had such a wonderful dinner at A&B Lobster House in Key West, and our server Garrett was truly phenomenal. From the moment we sat down, he brought such genuine hospitality, the kind that makes a meal feel special without ever feeling overdone.
I mentioned that I really wanted to try the lobster bisque but didn’t have room for a full order since I was getting the grouper Oscar, and Garrett brought me a little tasting so I could still experience it. Such a thoughtful touch. The grouper Oscar was excellent, Marty’s filet was phenomenal, and we started with the oysters Rockefeller, which were amazing.
We also told Garrett that we had just gotten married on Friday, and he surprised us with a beautiful sparkler-lit key lime pie. It was hands down one of the best we had on the island and such a perfect way to celebrate.
Garrett was knowledgeable about the menu, knowledgeable about Key West, and gave us great recommendations while striking the perfect balance of being engaged, helpful, and letting us enjoy our dinner. It is always special to experience genuine hospitality, and Garrett absolutely brought it. A&B Lobster House was a perfect Key West dinner experience.
From the hostess greeting to the warm welcome by Thereza, who helped us that evening to enjoy the A&B experience, to the quality and taste of the food we indulged, truly a great experience. The location is great, the ambiance is nice, drinks from the’Berlin’ bar within are created well, tasting perfect, a must go to while in Key West.
