My Loup is the sister restaurant to Her Place Supper Club, and was absolutely incredible. Went here with a friend for an end of sem/year celebration in mid December.
Taste: 5/5. Absolutely divine. Presentation, quality, and flavor combinations were done incredibly well. Everything we tried was so distinct and delicious. We didn’t do the tasting menu, hence why the price pp was lower than what Google rates it as, but it could easily become $100+ with it and/or more dishes.
Service: 5/5. Fast, attentive, and patient. We asked our waitress for suggestions and her preferences and she patiently guided us through the menu, and continuously checked in throughout our dining experience.
Atmosphere: 5/5. Absolutely loved it. It was dark, cozy, and extremely well decorated. It was beautiful and easily one of the best interiors of any restaurant I’ve seen in Philly.
If you are looking for a higher-end date night and/or friends night out, highly recommend checking out My Loup!
A friend suggested trying out My Loup, and after several years, finally made it there this past weekend. Dinner reservations were fully booked several weeks out, so the only thing available was right when they opened at 5pm. Very glad we were able to get in! The food was soo good, nothing was under or over cooked, perfect temperature, great flavor, seasoned well. The drinks were great too. Overall, no complaints. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, knowledgeable about the menu, and gave great recommendations. It was my birthday and they gave me a signed card from the staff and a small birthday treat as well. I’m adding this on my places to revisit!

My Loup is a singular experience. We first went a few months after it opened in 2023 and were simply blown away. Just months prior, we had been in the south of France for a wedding, followed by a week in Rome — but for the rest of the year, and long after, this was the dining experience I told people about. We went back a couple weeks ago and once again had a truly perfect dining experience. The food is inventive, fresh, and beautifully presented. The staff is warm and attentive. The thoughtfulness that goes into running My Loup deserves every ounce of recognition it has received since opening. I have no doubt it’ll continue to live up to its well-earned hype, and I will continue telling everyone visiting Philly that this is their must-have reservation.

Scallop is great, well-balanced sourness, but the portion is not worth the price. Escar-roll is excellent! Tender snail is paired with roll of butter aroma. Chicken is great, but leans towards the salty side, would need some water to eat with. Striped bass is a disaster: fish is undercooked, all accompanied olives and gravy are too sour, yet the fish is under-marinated, so even though on average the flavor is OK, it’s a mix of two extreme flavors. The only edible part is the artichoke.

I visited My Loup about a year ago after hearing so many great things about it, and I went with two friends. The food was definitely good and the atmosphere was beautiful. I especially loved the design of the menu. Although I no longer remember every dish clearly, I remember enjoying the meal, and I can understand why the restaurant has received so much recognition.
Unfortunately, the service left a much stronger impression on me than the food. The three of us were Asian women, and throughout the evening, we repeatedly tried to get someone’s attention because we wanted to order additional dishes, dessert, and more drinks. We waved and waited, but no one came over or acknowledged us.
At one point, I went to the restroom near the kitchen area. Several staff members came through carrying dishes, and no one acknowledged me, made space, or helped point me toward the restroom. I understand that staff members can be busy, and I do not expect anyone to stop everything for me, but the overall experience made me feel completely invisible.
I waited almost a year before writing this because I wanted to be fair, and because so many people around me continue to recommend My Loup. The food and setting were genuinely enjoyable, but the way we were treated made the experience deeply disappointing. I hope the restaurant takes feedback like this seriously and works to make every guest feel equally welcomed and cared for.
