My husband and I ordered almost everything from the spring menu! Great options, beautiful presentation, mouthful of flavors in every dish. We had an extremely hard time picking our favorites! Definitely recommend eating here! The portions are smaller which we love being able to try more dishes that way! I will say it’s a bit pricey especially in that you should order a good amount of dishes. But when we go out to eat we go out TO EAT so we plan accordingly.
My family thoroughly enjoyed our recent dining experience @ Fork Restaurant in the Old City section of Philly earlier this month. Abby was our server and was prompt, polite and personable. The vibe was upbeat & energetic. The ambiance was cozy and inviting. Drinks were spot on. The entire staff was attentive & professional. The food was as pleasing to the eye and as it was to the palate.
What we envisioned this restaurant to be is exactly what we got~a truly superb experience! We will most definitely be back. Thank you Chef & Staff
The starters showed real promise — the mussels toast and spaghetti were genuinely good. But the mains were a letdown that’s hard to overlook at these prices. The half chicken ($42) and scallops ($46) were both underwhelming — no interesting flavors, nothing memorable, portions that don’t justify the cost. The scallops especially felt like a safe, uninspired execution of a dish that should be a showstopper at that price point. Wine by the glass starts at $17, which is steep even by Philly fine dining standards.
Fork has a strong reputation and the space is lovely, but this felt like a restaurant coasting on its name. Stick to the pasta and starters and you’ll have a better time — just don’t expect the mains to deliver.
A very good restaurant.
I had visited the place twice, once for breakfast and once for Dinner.
Both times the service was impeccable (especially at the morning as there was very less people).
The drinks and the food tasted great.
Definitely worth a visit.
My only negative would be for the price as I do feel it's a bit expensive (as I normally dine at less expensive places) but totally worth going here.
Ordered three pastas and pavlova for dessert. Service and food were exceptional. Pasta serving runs small.
Pastas ordered:
fagottini, braised rabbit, roasted carrot, green garlic
spelt spaccatelli, pork ragu, torn basil, breadcrumb
torchio, lamb sausage ragu, green garlic, pecorino
Best flavor: torchio lamb.
Best sause: favottini rabbit.
Order these two.
