A Wonderful Taste of Indonesia at Triple Hot Spicy
Today, we were planning to visit Toba for their bottomless brunch at 2:35pm, but unfortunately the kitchen had already closed. Luckily, the team at Bija Coffee Shop recommended Triple Hot Spicy, and we’re so pleased they did!
From the moment we arrived, we received a warm welcome from Fifi, who went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable. She kindly brought us a starter to share while we waited, which was a thoughtful gesture and meant we didn’t have to wait too long for our food.
The food was absolutely delicious and reminded me of how authentic Indonesian food is supposed to taste. We ordered the beef rendang, coconut rice, iced tea, desserts, and some snacks to share, and every dish was excellent.
A particular highlight was the coconut rice served with red sambal, tempeh, anchovies, and peanuts—it was simply heavenly. The combination of flavours and textures was perfect, with the fragrant rice, spicy sambal, crispy anchovies, crunchy peanuts, and savoury tempeh creating a truly memorable dish. The beef rendang was also rich, tender, and packed with flavour.
What impressed us even more was that the restaurant was run by only two staff members, yet the service was efficient, friendly, and attentive throughout. They worked incredibly hard and still made every customer feel welcome.
If you’re looking for authentic Indonesian food, generous hospitality, and fantastic flavours, I highly recommend Triple Hot Spicy. We will definitely be returning and recommending it to friends and family.
A hidden gem that brings the true taste of Indonesia to the heart of the city. 🇮🇩❤️
