Lanzhou Lamian Noodle Bar

My friend and I needed a quick pre theatre meal and this was perfect. The staff were efficient and the food was quick and tasty. I love the texture of the hand pulled noodles. We shared a starter and main and it was plenty of food! £26.90 for Salt and Pepper chicken starter, Dan Dan soup noodles and two mango juices. I’d definitely go back

I was in the mood for Biang Biang noodles—the wide, handmade, chewy noodles that most noodle shops I visit serve—but unfortunately they don’t have them here. The noodles I ordered were generous in portion and had a nice chewy texture. The seafood soup, however, was lacking in flavor, although it was served piping hot. One thing that really impressed me was the staff’s memory. They remembered exactly what I had ordered, which was a nice touch.

Absolutely loved my visit to Lanzhou Lamian Noodle Bar in Leicester Square! The hand-pulled noodles were some of the freshest and most authentic I’ve had in London — you can actually watch them being made right in front of you, which adds to the whole experience. The beef noodle soup was rich, flavourful, and comforting, with perfectly chewy noodles and generous portions. Everything came out really quickly despite how busy the restaurant was. The atmosphere is lively and authentic, giving proper Chinatown street-food vibes. What really stood out was the value for money considering the central London location. If you’re looking for delicious late-night food, authentic Chinese noodles, or just a quick satisfying meal near Leicester Square, this place is definitely worth visiting. I’ll 100% be coming back! 🍜

You don't come here for atmosphere, you come here for absolutely stomach & soul satisfying food! Service was fast, and my friend and I were pretty much in and out in 30 mins. Even though there is a line outside we didn't wait that long (around ~10mins or so). The portions are huge for the price, so worth it. I had beef slice lamian with soup broth, I recommend it. Deep flavour.

I think the number of photos I’ve attached speak for themselves. As a university student, over the past two years I’ve been coming here for a meal where I know I won’t be disappointed. Their noodles are perfect. I order the sliced beef, knife cut noodles in soup every time. Never once have I even been slightly disappointed. London restaurants have the tendency to decrease in quality (or sometimes even quantity) over time. Not here. Here, I sometimes wonder if the bowl is bottomless or if they have increased their meat portion per bowl. The beef is always so soft and tender, the noodles the perfect in between of chewy and soft, and the broth a hot blanket when it’s cold and still worth the sweat when it’s hot. I savour every bite. Tried their dumplings on my most recent trip and they are just as good. Full of meat and the skin is a perfect balanced texture. I cannot praise this place enough. While I wax poetic about this place to no end, some people in the reviews have complained about feeling rushed or the place feeling dirty. What they fail to grasp is that that is part of the experience when dining here, and they are certainly sanitary enough. Service is fast, and I am consistently surprised at just how quickly my order turns into the food being in front of me. While it is true that if you want a luxe dining experience you don’t want to come here, if you just want a good bowl of noodles, please do.
