Quality Wines is a neighborhood restaurant and wine bar in London's Clerkenwell/Farringdon area, known for its weekly-changing menu of Mediterranean-inspired and European sharing plates. It opened its doors in 2018 and offers a buzzy, cozy atmosphere with candlelit tables and outdoor seating.
Customer feedback is generally positive, highlighting 'exceptional food,' 'fantastic service,' and a 'buzzy atmosphere.' Many praise the delicious and sophisticated flavor combinations, particularly in dishes like gildas, bifanas, lamb, and scallops. However, a recurring theme in some reviews is the perception of high prices, with some finding the wine 'eye wateringly expensive' and certain dishes 'overpriced' for what is offered, while others still consider it 'great value.' The wine selection is often described as interesting and esoteric.
Quality Wines began as a wine shop before evolving into the restaurant and wine bar it is today. It's located at 88 Farringdon Rd, London EC1R 3EA.
The restaurant is noted for serving sharing plates 'at night,' suggesting dinner is a popular and ideal time to visit. No specific peak times or ideal days were mentioned beyond this.
