Definitely would go back again. First time there and loved it! They had a new French menu going on and as Francophiles, we were very satisfied.
We had:
Gnocchi- Excellent, best ever!
Foie gras - Excellent
Sole meunière- Excellent, might and lemony
Orata - Good, not my favorite
Petite salad - Fabulous, just right red wine vinegar dressing
Paris - Fabulous
Mille Feuille - Fabulous
Peach and Meringue - Fabulous
The entire experience was excellent. The ambience was great, our server had a great personality and helped us decide on the course of food. The food was well presented and very delicious. The large parking (free) was the added bonus. The restaurant was pretty busy and having booked ahead of time did help.

I recently visited Oak & Reel for my birthday after hearing a lot of great things, so I went in with fairly high expectations. Not in a picky or critical way, just expecting an exceptional meal based on the restaurant’s reputation.
First, the positives. The ambiance is beautiful. The space feels thoughtfully designed and the overall atmosphere makes it a great place for a special occasion. The service throughout the evening was also very good. I also really appreciated the effort they put into their non-alcoholic offerings. As someone who doesn’t drink, it was refreshing to see multiple mocktails, two alcohol-removed wines, and even a non-alcoholic beer available. Many restaurants still overlook this, so it definitely stood out.
We started with the olive focaccia and the carciofi alla giudia. The olive focaccia was one of the highlights of the meal for me and had great flavor and texture.
For the main courses, my friend ordered the bucatini and I ordered the tortelli. I was a bit surprised by how limited the vegetarian entrée options were, so we also added sides of the marinated mushrooms and hearth potatoes.
Unfortunately this is where the experience became more mixed. The tortelli was fairly underwhelming. It wasn’t bad, but it lacked both substance and flavor and didn’t feel like a standout dish. The bucatini was good according to my friend, but not particularly memorable.
The marinated mushrooms were the most disappointing item. They were extremely tough to the point that I had to ask for a steak knife just to cut them, and even then they were difficult to chew. I ultimately sent them back because of that.
The hearth potatoes also weren’t great. The texture itself was fine, but they had a flavor that made it seem like the fryer oil may have been due for a change.
For dessert we had the delizie. I did enjoy the sauce on this dish, but overall the dessert itself was fairly unremarkable.
In the end, the meal simply didn’t live up to the level I was hoping for given the restaurant’s reputation. Nothing was outright bad, and the service and atmosphere were both excellent, but the food itself didn’t feel exceptional compared with other restaurants in the area.
I’m not opposed to returning at some point, but since I tried most of the vegetarian options available and wasn’t particularly impressed, I’m not sure what would draw me back. Still, I appreciate the thoughtful atmosphere and the effort put into accommodating non-alcoholic drink options.

Food was good and flavorful. Portions seemed on the small side. I got the pasta and had to get 2 orders to make a big bowl full. Prices were high for what you got. I wanted to order the steak but 63 dollars for a 8 ounce steak feels a bit much. I got a dessert and again great taste but 16 dollars was a bit much for the amount you got
I feel like there were trying to be top class but the atmosphere and setting didn't match the prices. Just my opinion. If you want good food then go here but just expect high prices for them.

I ate here with my fiancé and it was the best food I had in awhile. The service provided by Ashley was top tier, she was attentive and knowledgeable on the menu.
We had the Octopus, Spaghetti, Orata, and the Bomboloni.
The octopus was delicious and full of flavor. The spaghetti had a strong taste of garlic which made it my favorite. My only complaint about the spaghetti was that the noodles needed to be a bit softer though I assume they were going for more of an Al dente style. The Bombolonis were amazing, they were recommended by our server.
I hope to come back for both the amazing service and the food.
