A delicious, flavourful contemporary ode to Australian ingredients and wood-fired cooking. Dishes arrive presented in ways unexpected from just reading off the menu. We did the express lunch menu which felt like a great price point with value. The duck, tuna tartare and potato bread were the stand outs to me. Personally found desserts refreshing but a little light and didn’t quite round out the meal. Love the interior fit out. It’s warm and cozy with large windows and views not entirely blocked by dense high rises (still some however). There’s a homeliness to the space; the bench seating, open kitchen and additional dining spaces tucked around corners adding to the considerate design charm Service excellent, food came promptly and our waitress was helpful and understood the assignment. Although the sharing of main dishes is between 2, they managed some magic with our odd-numbered group of 7 and there was plenty of food to go around.

Set menu, $120pp with an Australian Wine Tasting. Let’s start with the great, our waiter (sorry can’t remember his name, but he was Argentinian) fantastic! Great service, good knowledge on wines & the menu. Had a chat about the different wines and great service overall. Food was pretty good overall, the beef carapaccio and the tuna tartare were really goood!! Kingfish tart was great, the Wagyu cooked and seasoned perfectly! Downside to the food was the Oysters were a 0/10, warm-ish with an interesting but not delicious sauce. The king prawns were below average, usually you get a nice sweetness from them, however they were quite bland and not sure the extra $10pp was worth the wagyu as the duck also sounded really good. The wines, realllly goood! Great Australian selection of wine and every wine you could tell had been paired perfectly and with time, would definitely recommend it if you are unsure what to have with your food. Overall, great experience I think a few tweaks albeit a little picky and this place would easily get 5 stars from me. Staff 100/10

Came here for a birthday and had a great experience. The atmosphere is really nice, and being located on level 18 gives you some great views over the city which adds to the whole vibe. We had a private room which made it feel a bit more special, and the service was very accommodating throughout the night. We went with the set menu and everything was delicious, a great way to experience a variety of dishes. Overall, a fantastic spot for a special occasion with a unique menu and great drinks. Definitely worth checking out!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place. I can’t say enough about how scrumptious the food at Kiln is and how creative they are with their ingredients. Celebrating my friend’s birthday here today was such a pleasant experience, especially thanks to our waitress, Ash. Her service was amazing—considerate, witty, attentive, and quick. We had the tuna tartare, rare beef salad, potato bread, and whole duck, and every dish was outstanding. Definitely a 10/10. I highly recommend supporting this place. The chefs are doing God’s work. Come here!

I went to Kiln because I was staying at Ace and felt too tired to adventure out any further. Lucky me! The restaurant deserves attention of its own. Nice relaxed vibe combined with excellent service, great kitchen and drinks. Gazpacho Martini was a beautiful aperitif - not very gazpachy, tbh, but gazpachy enough to stand out as a very successful variation. The kingfish tartlet was a perfect bite to go with it. John Dory was beautifully cooked with well delectable condiments. The liquorice cake was not how I imagined it, but absolutely lovely.
