Buvette London is a charming French bistro, part bar, part restaurant, and part cafe, offering an all-day dining experience from morning to late evening. Located in the picturesque Neal's Yard, it aims to provide good food and drinks in a beautiful, relaxed setting, reminiscent of its international counterparts in cities like New York and Tokyo. The London location opened its doors in late 2020.
Customer feedback is generally positive, praising the delicious food, beautiful ambiance, and delightful, attentive staff. Specific highlights include perfectly cooked steak frites and excellent crème brûlée. However, some customers have expressed disappointment regarding small portion sizes and perceived value for money, suggesting that prices might be high for the quantity of food served.
Additional Details
Buvette is an international concept with locations in various global cities, including New York, Paris, Tokyo, and Mexico City, in addition to London. It functions as a versatile establishment, serving as a cafe in the morning, a restaurant for meals, and a bar for aperitifs and cocktails into the evening.
Buvette London is open all day, making it suitable for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. Operating hours are Sunday to Wednesday from 8 am to 9 pm, and Thursday to Saturday from 8 am to 10 pm.
Nestled in one of the liveliest corners of the renowned Covent Garden, this stylish French café brings the vibrant spirit of Paris to London’s dining scene. I chose it for my birthday breakfast, and after noticing the occasion in my reservation, the team graciously joined in the celebration by offering my second order on the house. Such thoughtful gestures leave a lasting impression.
I’ve since shared this story with countless friends, enthusiastically recommending they experience it for themselves. The freshness of the ingredients, the perfect balance of flavours and textures, the flawless execution of every dish, and the impeccable service all came together to create yet another unforgettable moment in my travel memories.
Merci beaucoup à toute l’équipe. Vous avez rendu mon anniversaire encore plus spécial. À très bientôt !
I was honoured to be invited to Buvette before its official opening to sample a selection of items from the menu. I was recommended the chicken and potato dish, which was an absolute 10/10, and I was also given the opportunity to try a variety of drinks, all of which were excellent.
The service was phenomenal throughout, especially from Kai, Alice and Jay, who went above and beyond to make the experience memorable. I’ll definitely be returning, particularly for the crème brûlée, which was absolutely spectacular.
Wishing the team every success with the opening, I have no doubt Buvette will be a huge hit.
Very unique place if you’re looking for something different! Food and service is great 👍 A huge thank you to Marina for such a warm welcome and exceptional care. She made the experience truly pleasant.
We expected good things... Not what happened.
Everything is small including the wine and also cutlery. Look at that and then everything makes sense. The price you pay for medium quality tiny food is very disappointing. Go to other places like, Le Garrick, Balthazar, anywhere else to be fair and you're more likely to have a good experience. I'm not going again. Good luck though. Bigger portions and better customer satisfaction is what you need to focus on. I think this is more of a "focus on the socials" place.
We feel incredibly fortunate that Buvette has now found a home in London after enjoying the original Buvette in New York.
From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere transports you to a charming Parisian café, blending warmth, elegance and effortless hospitality. The food is beautifully executed — simple, authentic French comfort food prepared with exceptional attention to detail. Our favorite is Pain Perdu for breakfast.
What makes Buvette special is not just the food, but the experience: relaxed yet sophisticated, lively yet intimate. Whether for breakfast, lunch, dinner or simply a glass of wine, it is the kind of place that makes you want to stay longer than planned.
A fantastic addition to London’s dining scene and a worthy sibling to the beloved New York original. We will certainly be back many times before it is overcrowded.
