Go here. Food was excellent! Everything was great but the tortilla was top notch!
We had a fantastic meal at Gilda and left feeling like the food truly did justice to Basque Country. We’re already looking forward to coming back to see how the menu continues to evolve.
The tortilla de España is an absolute must-order, no notes. The croquetas were still delicious, though I would have loved them to be a bit lighter with a more pronounced cod flavor. So happy to see them serving secreto Ibérico, it’s my absolute favorite cut of pork.
To top it all off, they have a fun, thoughtfully cocktails and curated wine list with plenty of unique and hard-to-find bottles that pair beautifully with the food. Gilda is off to a fantastic start, and we can’t wait to return.
Hey, this used to be Chi Latin! Remember that. This is a “dirty Basque” pintxos tavern that blends San Sebastián traditions cuisine. I had a Pintxo. The staff and service are gildariffic.
glassware, lighting, color scheme, staff cocktails & food 10/10. honestly great experience all around. a lot of thought has gone into all the details at Gilda and it shows. Bathrooms are cute
Went in super hyped but was incredibly disappointed. La Gilda cocktail is described as savory but was sweet and absolutely gross. Gin and tonic was also sweet. For trying to market themselves as a Basque restaurant, that’s about as un-Basque as you can get. The wine selection is also very eclectic bottles that are very cheap and lower quality in Spain and insanely marked up here. Best dish was definitely the grilled ahi tuna, and while the tortilla was well cooked, the aioli flavor profile did not go well with it at all. For not a cheap meal, it was incredibly disappointing and definitely not a good representation of Basque cuisine.
