Really delicious, flavorful food. We were sad that Standard Fare closed down, but if you liked Standard Fare, a lot of the great things can be found here as well—cute neighborhood spot, seasonal dishes, and of course great biscuits with butter and seasonal jam.
We got a number of dishes to share: roasted banana bread, masa biscuit with apricot jam, potato and squash blossom frittata, brisket quesadilla, and French toast. Everything I tried was excellent, but my favorite was definitely the frittata, which came with aioli and early girl tomatoes.
We certainly will be coming back to try more dishes, especially throughout the seasons!
This is fresh Latin cuisine. Very casual and laid back. Dog and family friendly. You order at the register and they will bring the yummy food to you .
I ordered the shishito grilled peppers quesadillas w/ a very fresh salad, oh it was rich and fresh. Served with a green salsa on the side. You can tell it was homemade, no store bought products there.
My party all ordered the chilaquiles verdes with beans and and salad. They spécialisé in high quality corn (masa) to make their homemade tortillas. You can taste the freshness !!! If there is a line, don’t worry it worry, it moves quickly
Oh, their Salsa Macha is not to be missed
You have to purchase a jar of that.. the best !

The vibe here is summer lovin. High tables, low seats, cement steps. Bring a book and spend some time. The menu is tight and they may run out of items but the two dishes we shared - frittata and carrot masa - were fantastic. The agua fresca was taaasty. I saw a few baked goods on site but there are also two other bakeries to hit after.

Beautiful space with fast counter service and indoor and outdoor seating. We got the strawberry and preserved lemon aqua fresca and a coffee which were both wonderful. We wanted to try a lot so got 4 dishes (carrot tamal, frittata, tostada, quesadilla) and each came with beautiful greens and were so delicious. Incredible masa and such fresh produce. Wish we lived closer and could come all the time - it's well worth a trip from anywhere in the bay, come hungry. 🙌🏻

I was disappointed to find that the only vegan options were simply vegetarian dishes with the cheese removed. A quesadilla without cheese? No thanks. It's frustrating to lose a key component of a meal while still paying full price.
Things became more disappointing when I asked for a side of hot sauce or salsa and was told I'd have to purchase an entire bottle instead. Considering the relatively high prices and modest portion sizes, it seemed unreasonable that a small side of salsa or hot sauce wasn't available. The food itself was fresh and well prepared, but it lacked flavor and felt dry without any sauce or cheese.
The final straw came as we were leaving. After finishing our meal, we were scolded for not bussing our own table. It wasn't obvious that customers were expected to do this, and the interaction felt awkward and unnecessary. It also felt strange that no one checked on us during the meal or refilled our water, yet someone was quick to point out that we hadn't cleared our table.
The table next to us also appeared to have a frustrating experience. The cashier missed part of their order, and when they brought it to the staff's attention, the missing item wasn't prioritized. They ended up waiting long after everyone else at their table had finished eating. When they asked if the order could be expedited, they were essentially told no.
I would have gladly paid the higher prices for better service, more thoughtful vegan options, and a dining experience that didn't feel like I was being nickel-and-dimed at every turn. I really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately I won't be back.
