Tableau Bar Bistro was the perfect start to our evening. My wife and I visited for dinner before a show and were incredibly impressed. Every dish was prepared with immense attention to detail and tasted delicious. I highly recommend trying the frog legs, I decided take a chance on them and they were an outstanding appetizer.
The cocktails and dessert wine were expertly curated and matched the quality of the food. Despite being dressed up for the theatre, we felt right at home; the ambiance is wonderful and strikes a rare balance where both formal and casual attire feel appropriate. Service was fast, friendly, and professional. We’d definitely come back!
Tableau has been one of my all-time favorites. My daughter and I visited last night and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was outstanding.
The bone marrow with beef tartare was absolutely incredible, I enjoyed it so much that I finished the entire plate myself!
Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be back.

Had a decent dinner experience at Tableau as a group of 3. It was my first time dining here, and we were given a choice of inside/patio (around 6 pm on a Sunday). A friend had 'Le Burger' with the Au French onion jus ($24 + $4) and the others had their 'Pithivier' ($29). No issues with the burger. The meat was a fair size. I don't eat French cuisine regularly, but the pithivier was a very tasty leek and turnip pie. However, the garnish (leek/onion) was very clearly charred and burnt on my plate, which left a poor aftertaste. I left most behind. The micro greens and morel mushrooms were fine, and the onion soubise was almost like a light dashi. When I visited Paris, I think their 'soubise' was thicker in viscosity.
I also ordered a side of 'frites.' The aioli and ketchup condiments were brought soon after ordering, but the fries didn't arrive until after our mains, which was odd. Keep in mind that the burger also came with a side of fries, and I definitely thought the side of fries should've arrived first to enjoy while we waited. There weren't any apologies after I asked staff to check in when they brought our main plates (they would "check" with the kitchen staff). A bit of a wait for the food, but we didn't mind as it appeared to be fresh.
Our server was Jason, and he checked in a couple of times during our meal. Price point is a bit high as expected. They also have a cocktail and beverage menu, but we weren't wanting anything fancy. Good location downtown by Coal Harbour. Good first experience, but it was let down a bit by the frites issue and burnt garnish.

Had a great birthday dinner at Tableau Bar Bistro. The staff were incredibly warm and sincere — they all took the time to wish me a happy birthday, which made the experience feel really special.
Food-wise, everything was solid. The foie gras Monte Cristo was rich and memorable, the NY striploin au poivre was cooked perfectly with a flavorful peppercorn sauce, and the duck was well-balanced with crispy skin. The bone marrow was good as well, just a bit on the richer side.
Overall, a lovely French bistro experience with great atmosphere and genuinely kind service. Would happily come back again.
