The gochujang salmon pasta is good. Somewhat like a rosé pasta. The truffle pasta had such a strong truffle smells but will be abit jelak if you eat it at a slower pace. The salmon was good, but the eggs smells so strong (please ask for the yolk to be cook well done if you are not into eggy smell) and the potato-vegetable croquette is bland... No taste just earthy. The plate is somewhat unbalance ?
And the pasta portion is omg so small. For the price, the portion should've been bigger. A normal adult will feel hungry if they only opted for pasta.
The pastries are just okay. I've been here couple of times but truth be told I cant taste the butter and layers of the pastries as of high quality. Just normal.
The drinks are fine.
The waiting time is okay since its a bustling cafe especially for breakfast and brunch. The staff could've been more friendlier but maybe because the foot traffic is alot.
Overall the portions are not up to the standards. Its not equivalent to the price I would say.
The overall environment is really nice. The restaurant wasn't too crowded, and the atmosphere was very comfortable, perfect for sitting down, chatting, and relaxing. Every corner is photogenic; you can take great pictures anywhere.
However, the food was just average for me. The prices are on the higher end, but the taste wasn't particularly amazing.
I just dont understand what is the hype all about. Ive been to this place 3 times! First time we were told yes only 90 mins to dine. The service was fast food was just ok. So we did finish our breakfast within time or less than 1 hour, the staff at that time was more experienced. This was last year. Then 2nd time i came with a friend. They got the order wrong, the egg didnt arrive together with egg benedict. To apologize they did give us a complimentary croissant. But if you need butter add another rm5 . It was less busy so we werent force to leave our place. Today was my 3rd time here. Ok this will be my last. Firstly the service was slow, and i think i asked many times where was the flatwhite. No one did check the order if it was placed or not. So 30 mins passed and no flatwhite. Only when my friend arrived and she ordered hers, then the waitress realised my order wasnt in. We were sitting and didnt realised that our time was up. And the waiter was rude telling us to go. oh well, i was just about to order for takeaway.
Based on my 3 times eating there, i think there are better places for breakfast than this place. please don’t waste your time queueing. The food is just ok. I just hate when you pay for service and they kick you out. I should’ve bought the sourdough at Adough rather than this place.
Doña Bakehouse TRX 🤍🥐
Finally tried this place and the vibe is honestly so beautiful cozy, elegant and very aesthetic. The pastries look amazing and taste even better. ✨
The croissant was buttery and flaky, and the baked goods are definitely the highlight. The coffee was smooth and paired really well with the pastries ☕️. Also tried their breakfast plate simple but satisfying, with fluffy scrambled eggs and fresh sides.
Love the whole experience here: pretty interior, nice presentation, good food and a perfect spot for a slow brunch/date catch up. A bit on the pricey side, but worth visiting for the quality and ambience 🤍
Would come back again for the pastries 🥐✨
went to dona bakehouse with my parents..and.. they loved it!!!!
we got the shakshuka (one of if not the best shakshuka ive had since trying it in spain), the spices were rlly good and the cashew nuts added a nice crunch! i would have appreciated a little more vege in the shakshuka but im just being greedy hehe
the crispy unagi nori taco was.. SO GOOD. omg. i highly highly recommend this!! an interesting combination of textures and flavour, ive not had smth similar before, would definitely get this again when im back!
we got two sweet items: cinnamon bun and pistachio kunafeh chocolate croissant
the cinnamon bun was so fluffy!! i would have liked it to be a little more cinnamony because i LOVE cinnamon (but it was objectively good) it was not too sweet (ultimate asian compliment)
dubai chocolate (?) croissant hehe! a food trend i hope will never die! my mum loved it! and so did my brothers and i. their criossant and pastries in general are very well done! and the kunafeh on top with the chocolate.. YUM😋
super recommend this place, but there is likely going to be a wait. we were told that our wait time would be 40 min but in the end we only waited for around 15!! (win!!!)
the setting within the cafe is so cute also!!!🤩
