Additional Details
Watermark Restaurant sources its lobster from Ryer Lobsters, a local supplier in Indian Harbour, emphasizing its commitment to local ingredients and community. It is the newest oceanfront dining option at Oceanstone Resort.
The restaurant serves both lunch and dinner. Given its location within a resort and proximity to Peggy's Cove, it is likely popular during peak tourist seasons in Nova Scotia. Reservations are recommended for dinner.
We were staying at the resort and we booked a reservation for dinner at Watermark. The host and servers were very friendly and the decor is lovely.
We ordered:
Bee sting cocktail
Tuna tartare
Crab cakes
Spaghettini with shrimp
Halibut
Banana sundae
Orange almond cake
The highlights for us were the cocktail - so delicious, and the banana dessert. The salad that came with the halibut was also really enjoyable. It had olives, oranges, fennel, red onion, and arugula. The dressing was really fresh and citrusy. More fennel and less red onion would make it a 5 🌟
Amazing first experience at Watermark.
The atmosphere and friendly staff when entering makes a great first impression.
We had cocktails to start which were tasty and garnished nicely. We shared the shrimp cocktail which had 4 large shrimp with the tastiest mango avocado salsa, the lobster risotto was delish and creamy, and the lobster was buttery and tender and quite a large portion overall (I couldn’t finish it) my husband had the steak frites with peppercorn sauce and said it was very tasty but he coulda used a few more pieces of meat cause they were done fantastic and yummy. Now the deserts. Best crème brûlée I have ever had with fresh berries and homemade sugar biscuit (don’t ever change that or remove from the menu please) I’ll be back for just that and the sundae with the torched bananas was good as well. Our whole experience was lovely, the staff is great and friendly and our food was piping hot and all things were timed to the table perfect for us. The manager checked in and asked how our experience was when exiting. Well done guys, We will see you again soon.

My family and I had a wonderful experience at Watermark this afternoon. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and quickly sat at a very clean table near the window. The new decor and paint in the restaurant really made the space feel fresh and bright.
We each had a cocktail. I enjoyed the Fog on the Harbour beverage which had a wonderful lavender and refreshing taste and my mother enjoyed the Garden Bubbles cocktail which was very fresh and citrusy.
We shared the prosciutto flatbread as a started, which was excellent, I would easily come back just for the flatbread alone. The dough wasn’t heavy and the toppings and sauce had the perfect ratio. We were also very happy to see the steam coming off the food as it came, very obvious this is made to order and not sitting under a heat lamp waiting to be served. I enjoyed the shrimp spaghettini, the sauce perfectly complemented the shrimp, the pasta was al denté, and the topping of fresh herbs was a wonderful touch; I throughly enjoyed the dish and again was very happy that it was fresh off the stove when served and very hot. My mother enjoyed the rigatoni pasta and my father enjoyed the fish and chips which we all tasted and agreed it was incredibly fresh, the batter was perfectly crisp, and the portion size was generous.
We did not have room for dessert but look forward to coming back and trying their dessert menu as well as their dinner menu.
We were very impressed with the staff our server Anna was very attentive, checking in on us frequently and helping my mom navigate the menu with her sensitivity to onions as well as checking with the kitchen to ensure she had a dish that she would be able to eat. The manager Patrick was very welcoming when we arrived and continued to check on us throughout our meal as well. Both Anna and Patrick were very wonderful and ensured we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The service felt very homey and I felt that the staff genuinely cared to get to know us and how we were enjoying our experience.
We are very happy to have enjoyed our meal and look forward to returning!

I went with a group of 9 women and we had an absolutely incredible meal. Every dish was outstanding. The mussels, pasta and clam chowder were stand outs but nothing was missed. Service was excellent and cocktails were delicious.

Beautiful restaurant. Love the view and the service. But the food was very disappointing. We had two pasta dishes and they were awful. No taste, not even salt. Just thick cream. The mussels were okay.
