Customer Perception
Customers generally praise the pizza for its authenticity, light and airy "Nuvola" (cloud) dough, crisp crust, and high-quality ingredients. Many highlight the excellent service, warm hospitality, and cozy atmosphere. However, some reviews mention that certain dishes like pasta and tiramisu can be mediocre or pricey. There were also comments about rushed service, issues with seating availability, and occasional inconsistencies in pizza execution (e.g., burnt edges).
Additional Details
The restaurant is known for its unique "Nuvola" (cloud) dough pizza, which is so light and airy that it's served with golden scissors to maintain its crust structure. The chef's culinary journey from Naples to Asia is a significant part of the restaurant's concept.
Stopped by Vincenzo Capuano at Robertson Quay for a bit of authentic Naples. The vibe inside is relaxed and cozy, with warm herringbone floors, woven lamps, and framed Maradona photos that give it a nice, soulful touch. It’s a comfortable spot to hang out by the river without any pretense.
What We Savoured
• Holy Wings ($20): Crispy wings in a punchy signature spicy sauce.
• Gambero Alla Marinara ($34): Prawns and clams in a rich lobster bisque & brandy sauce. So good!
• Diavola Alla Nonno Enzo ($33): This one uses their signature "Nuvola" (cloud) dough—it’s incredibly light and airy, served with golden scissors to keep the crust's structure. Love the sauce and dough!
• Artisanal Gelato ($6-$10): Freshly made Greek Yoghurt or Dark Chocolate. Definitely add the Amarena FABBRI Cherry & Pistachio on top. Light desserts that complete the meal!
Highly recommended for a great Italian meal. Great service!
Walked in sometime about 930, first time here. They had no tables outside despite us seeing some available. All were reserved apparently.
On to the food, just my own opinion. Really not sure what makes this "award-winning" pizza. The dough was good with a nice hydration that didnt make it too heavy which was quite nice. Taste wise was just average for the price. Would I say its the best I have had? maybe not.
The short rib ragu pasta was also mediocre, not much meat in the sauce but nonetheless. Pricey too. Tiramisu was also pretty dry and nothing memorable.
Service overall was fast with all the items coming quickly upon ordering.
Overall, happy to have tried and I do recommended you to give them a try and form your own opinion. This place is just unfortunately not for me.

I recently visited this Italian pizza restaurant and overall had a pleasant dining experience. The food was enjoyable, especially the pizza, which was freshly made with a good balance of flavors and a nicely baked crust. The pizza was cut up by a scissors to maintain fluffiness. The restaurant itself had a cozy atmosphere that made for a comfortable meal.
However, the experience got off to a less-than-ideal start. Our reservation was for 6:00 PM, and we arrived just a few minutes early. We were informed that the restaurant only opened at 6:00 PM and were asked to return at that time. While I understand the need to adhere to opening hours, it would have felt much more welcoming if the staff had invited us to wait in the outdoor seating area and perhaps offered some water while we waited. That small gesture could have made a big difference to the first impression.
That said, the food and overall dining experience were good, and I would consider returning in the future.

Dining at Vincenzo Capuano was an absolute delight from start to finish. The pizza is easily one of the best I’ve ever had—perfectly crisp on the outside, light and airy inside, and topped with fresh, high-quality ingredients that truly shine. The pasta is just as impressive, cooked to perfection and bursting with rich, authentic flavors that make every bite satisfying.
What truly elevates the experience, however, is the impeccable service. Manager Zach goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcomed and well taken care of. His attention to detail, warm hospitality, and genuine passion for the restaurant are evident throughout the entire dining experience.
If you’re looking for a place that combines outstanding Italian cuisine with exceptional service, this restaurant is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back which I did, at least once every month!
P. S. It's dog friendly outdoors!

Food: ingredients: for all the food was top notch. However... One of the pizza was a burnt, on the sides. Not world champion execution.
Service: has a feeling more of a mess hall than a restaurant, rushing food on the table isn't the Italian approach to a meal. The appetizer and main pasta dish arrived 2 minutes apart, making my pasta cold and overcooked by the time time I had finished with the appetizer. Focaccia was quite thin, more like schiacciatina with garlic. Again served after the appetizer & pasta and with the other pizzas we had ordered. The pasta, guanciale di manzo, for $36, was great, but looked like half a portion, left hungry one of our guests. We asked for parmigiano cheese, they forgot, cup with no ice they forgot, and at 10.15pm the waiter came to close the bill because he said they are closing, I said doesn't this place close at 11pm? He said 10.30.
Hospitality close to 0. When I asked to speak to the manager, he seemed not to understand that appetizer should be served not at the same time as the main meal. I asked if there was anyone that speaks Italian in the restaurant, they said no. Ottimo cibo, peccato per il servizio. Cmq grazie, jamme ya! Atmosphere is great, some Italian music would help with the atmosphere instead of radio hits.
