Received amazing service with a wide variety of dishes in the lunch buffet.
There is a large selection of cold dishes, such as brined prawns, crabs and oysters. Warm dishes such as braised pork, mashed potatoes and pizza are also found around the restaurant, and there is an overwhelming variety of honey flavours (around 8). Live noodle and spaghetti stations are also available and are of good quality. The food is restocked regularly with the exception of seafood.
The complimentary drinks are pineapple juice and apple juice (which were restocked quickly), and you could order your choice of coffee from the staff.
The service in the restaurant is excellent. The plates were cleared extremely quickly, and the staff were very observant and quick to act, replacing our water bowl when it got dirty and clearing the plate filled with leftover scraps with a new plate. They were also quite polite, asking us if we needed anything and on our dining experience, and how it could be improved.
The map provided on the table is also quite a nice addition, making it significantly easier to navigate around the restaurant.
The only downsides I can find is that the seat we were seated seemed to lack a little privacy, where people could look into our seats when scooping clam chowder, and could be improved by adding a translucent bamboo divider to block out sights. There was also a very slightly chipped cup, which might have sharp edges and be uncomfortable to use.
In conclusion, this is an extremely good restaurant for the price, having incredible service and quality food, and I would visit it again if I had the chance.
Service is awesome, and the food is excellent too! The coffee was great. There was a large platter of oysters, and the wood-fired pizzas were freshly made.
They also have a live pasta station, which is a nice touch.
The variety of food is impressive, with many unique and special dishes to choose from.
The lunch buffet is already great value for money, and it’s even more worthwhile with the Maybank Taste Dining discount.
If there’s one buffet that does seafood exceptionally well, it’s Beach Road Kitchen at JW Marriott Singapore South Beach. But from now till 30 June 2026, they’ve taken things up a notch with A Culinary Voyage to Chengdu - a limited-time Sichuan showcase led by Executive Chinese Chef Mike Li from The St. Regis Chengdu.
What I loved most is that this isn’t just about piling on chilli for the sake of heat. The dishes showcase the different layers of Sichuan cuisine beautifully - from the fragrant warmth of Xiang La to the addictive numbing kick of Ma La and the sharp peppery notes of Hu La. Every dish felt bold yet balanced, allowing the flavours to shine without overwhelming the palate.
The buffet spread was packed with standouts, such as the Chilled Chicken in Chilli Oil, which was refreshing yet fiery, while the Kung Pao Shrimp delivered that perfect sweet-spicy crunch. A must-try is the Sichuan Dan Dan Noodles, which were wonderfully slurp-worthy with a rich, nutty sauce and just the right amount of spice.
One of the highlights was moving between the Sichuan stations and Beach Road Kitchen’s famous temperature-controlled Cold Seafood Room, loaded with fresh seafood on ice. For this special promotion, the seafood is paired with a range of artisanal Sichuan dipping sauces, adding a unique twist to fresh oysters, prawns and shellfish. The combination of sweet seafood and bold Sichuan flavours worked surprisingly well.
Even with all the premium seafood available, the Sichuan dishes managed to hold their own and genuinely felt like the stars of the show.
The dessert stayed true to the Sichuan theme. The Mala Choux Puff was a fun and unexpected creation, offering a subtle spicy kick alongside its creamy filling. Meanwhile, the Sichuan Spiced Soft Chocolate delivered a rich, indulgent finish with a gentle warmth that lingered after each bite.

Food was pretty good with an okay variety of dishes. Wide variety of seafood including snow crab, mussels, oysters on order and fresh sashimi. I think the variety of local dishes can be strengthened especially tor the price. With a price tag of approximately $100, id expect better selection. Atmosphere was okay, but noisy at times due to it being lunch hour. I went on a Sunday afternoon, and food was still being restocked pretty often. On another note, many people have reported food poisoning from seafood products, so I would recommend staying away from them. Service was quick and service staff were kind. If you would like to reserve a table, do reserve early as they do not reply to emails and sometimes do not pick up calls.
We used to dine here few times before, and the service was always great. Unfortunately, that changed today.
We requested a different table because we were concerned that our baby, who is going to seat in a high chair, might reach the wines and pot nearby. When we arrived at 11:57 a.m., there were still plenty of empty tables available. However, the staff’s attitude was very rude. We were told, “We can’t give you another seat, only a chair,” even though the side table was not suitable for placing a baby seat.
If you’re unable to provide an appropriate table, then don’t accept our reservation. At the very least, explain the situation to customers in a polite and professional manner.
After leaving, we called Peppermint Restaurant and ended up having a wonderful Father’s Day celebration there.
Sadly, we won’t be returning to Beach Road Kitchen. Please learn from the seating arrangement at Peppermint Restaurant and see what is suitable for guests with baby chair. Their side seating setup was safe, practical, and accommodating for a baby high chair. Thank you.
