Visited PopUp Bagels in Greenwich Village and can see why it has become so popular. The shop is conveniently located on Thompson Street, right in the heart of the neighborhood, and there was a steady crowd throughout our visit.
The bagels were fresh, warm, and had a pleasantly chewy texture. We especially enjoyed the simple approach of serving them hot with a selection of spreads, allowing the quality of the bagels to stand out. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the overall experience felt very authentic.
The only downside was that seating is quite limited, so it can be difficult to find a place to enjoy your bagels during busy periods. That said, the service was efficient and the staff kept the line moving smoothly.
A great spot to grab a fresh New York bagel if you’re exploring Greenwich Village. Definitely worth trying at least once while in NYC.
This is the best bagel I've ever had in my life. We had it hot and fresh with the amazing cream cheese. The staff was lovely. Thank you so much!
(The outside where you stand and eat was kind of dirty and had pigeons, but I didn't mind because the food was perfect.)

The bagels were fantastic and we got some free with the BFF promotion! We had to have NY bagels and our trip and this didn’t disappoint. “Hot bagels!” Is what you’ll hear when you visit and the friendly, entertaining, and communicative staff are all amazing. The South Village neighborhood and the kinetic energy had this place buzzing. This is the NY you see in the movies.

The bagels were warm and fluffy. We ordered a 3 pack - everything, salt, and plain and they snuck an extra everything in the bag! We also tried the chimichurri butter and elite cream cheese schmear and both were great. There was a bit of a line but it moved along quickly.

An amazing bagel shop, with quite a different concept from the rest of the bagel shops in New York.
You order the bagels by the bag (you can choose between 3/6/12/30 units), then you choose the schmear and the amount of these is based on how many bagels you order (1 schmear for 3 or 6 bagels, 2 for 12 bagels and 5 for 30 bagels).
You get the bagels as one piece, then you just scoop the schmear of you choice and eat it like that, unlike most of the bagel shops where they halve the bagel and spread the schmear inside of it.
We arrived on a Sunday morning, had to stand in line a little bit (not longer than 10 minutes), but it was definitely worth it.
When we came inside, we saw the staff actually making the bagels, and the entire shop was filled with fresh pastries smell.
Everytime a fresh batch of bagels comes out of the oven, the entire staff yells "hot bagels!!" which is also an experience on its own.
We had the 3 bagels bag (sesame, salt, everything - 1 of each) with their special of the week cream cheese (spicy scallion) that was absolutely amazingggg!
The experience of eating the freshest hot bagels, dipping it in a cream cheese container is definitely unique, and I'm so glad I got the chance to have it, and diversify a little bit the traditional bagel breakfast.
10/10 would recommend coming here, especially if you can appreciate high quality bagels!
