There are honestly nothing but amazing things to say about Flower Child. After finally checking it out for the first time a few months ago, it instantly jumped to the top of my list for go-to spots. It’s rare to find a kitchen completely focused on health-conscious food while delivering absolutely incredible, bold flavors, but they nail it every time.
The food here completely changes the game when it comes to clean eating. The sweet potato fries are a total masterpiece—they aren't even deep-fried, yet they have this perfect texture and rich flavor that fools you into thinking they are. Plus, they come served with a yummy, fresh homemade ranch dressing that pairs perfectly. It honestly blows my mind how good they are. The Mother Earth Bowl is another standout and proof that healthy food doesn't have to be boring. It makes prioritizing your veggies and clean protein completely effortless, with zero feeling of sacrifice. All the distinct flavors come together so perfectly that I fall in love with it all over again every single time I order it. I also love the broccoli pesto, which is such a clever and creative twist on a classic. It was so delicious that I actually figured out how to recreate it at home, and now the whole family is obsessed with it.
One of the best things about this menu is how satisfying it is for a crowd. No matter what anyone in our party orders, everyone leaves completely full and satisfied. In fact, the portions are so generous that you should definitely plan on having leftovers—there is easily enough for two full meals. Because the ingredients are so clean, it’s the one place where I never feel an ounce of guilt about going out to eat after leaving.
The kitchen is exceptionally accommodating, offering fantastic vegan and gluten-free options. On top of that, the pricing is great for the quality you get, and they even offer a highly appreciated military discount.
The vibe inside is beautiful—very open, bright, and airy, with fresh flowers on the tables that add a wonderful touch to the ambience. It is also kid-friendly; they thoughtfully provide crayons and coloring pages right by the drink station to keep the little ones entertained. Outside of the blazing summer months, we also absolutely love having lunch out on their cute patio.
Because it's such a popular spot, though, you definitely want to have a game plan for your visit. The parking lot and tables fill up fast during peak hours. To guarantee a seamless experience, go during off-peak times. For dinner, we love heading in right around 5 PM to beat the rush, which guarantees easy parking and a great seat. Absolute 5-star spot!
