Fogo de Chão in New York City offers an authentic Brazilian steakhouse experience, known for its continuous tableside service of fire-roasted meats (Churrasco). Located in Midtown Manhattan, just steps from MoMA, it features an elegant ambiance across three stunning levels, including a lounge area. It's described as a culinary paradise for meat lovers, providing an outstanding value for its quality and variety.
Customers consistently praise Fogo de Chão for its excellent food, amazing variety of perfectly cooked meats, and consistently great service. The staff is frequently described as friendly, attentive, and professional. The Market Table is highlighted as a delicious and extensive offering, even for those not opting for the full Churrasco experience. Some minor criticisms included staff not always speaking English, occasional billing issues, and specific dishes like feijoada being too salty or lentil soup too bland.

From the moment we walked in, the ambience immediately set the tone—elegant, warm, and lively without being overwhelming. It felt like the kind of place where every detail is intentional, creating the perfect environment for a memorable meal.
The service was absolutely outstanding. The staff was attentive, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. Every team member made sure our experience was seamless—checking in just enough to make us feel cared for while allowing us to truly enjoy the evening.
And the food? Simply amazing. Every cut of meat was perfectly seasoned and expertly prepared. The continuous tableside service brought an incredible variety of flavors, each one better than the last. The market table was fresh, vibrant, and beautifully presented, adding even more depth to an already incredible meal.
What truly stood out was that excellence carried through every moment of the experience—from the first greeting to the final bite. It’s rare to find a place where the food, atmosphere, and service all shine at the highest level, but this restaurant delivered on every front.
An unforgettable dining experience. We will absolutely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I highly recommended for anyone who appreciates phenomenal food and first-class hospitality.
Yesterday June 25, 2026, we celebrated our boss’s 70th birthday at this restaurant. This was my first time visiting and it won’t be my last. We had such a wonderful experience and impeccable service. Everything was great. I want to thank the young lady at the bar, Amariah, and servers Victoria and Rafaela. They are such lovely, friendly and welcoming young ladies. I must commend them for their excellent service. Thank you and all the staff for making our day so memorable. Mattie
I’ve been coming to Fogo de Chão in New York regularly, and it never disappoints. The quality of the food is consistently outstanding, with an incredible selection of perfectly cooked meats and an excellent Market Table.
What truly makes every visit special, though, is the exceptional service. A special thank you to Aroaldo, who always goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He is attentive, friendly, professional, and genuinely cares about providing an outstanding dining experience. His customer service is one of the main reasons I keep coming back.
If you’re looking for great Brazilian steakhouse food paired with first-class hospitality, I highly recommend this location. Five stars!
Feeling hungry after a nice stroll at the MoMA? Well, directly across the street from the museum is Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse. Just because it's a steakhouse in mid-town Manhattan doesn't mean you have to break the bank. Fogo has one thing on the menu that should fit the bill: Market Table & Feijoada Bar. OYCE for $20 if you come during their lunch hours which are 11:30-3pm during weekdays and 11:30-2pm on weekends.
The salad bar was splendid. I must have sampled at least 90% of their offerings. Everything was so colorful, delish and healthful, making me relatively guilt-free while committing gluttony. There were so many recipes I rarely have the opportunity to experience, yet here they were - all at the same bar. I particularly enjoyed the roasted zucchini, pickled tomato, greens with roasted pears, and persimmons.
For those who require animal protein, smoked salmon and chicken salad were available, as well as pork at the Feijoda bar. Speaking of which, I wasn't a fan of that section. The Feijoda was too salty while the lentil soup was too bland.
The ambiance was elegant and staff were professional. There were a few issues for me personally: none of the staff replenishing the food spoke English, they had to correct my bill twice, and the person who answered my call was scripted and mechanical - I might as well talk to a bot.
