La Capinera

It has been one year since my honeymoon and this restaurant stands out to me as one of the happiest memories I have from this trip. The food was amazing. The service was good. I also enjoyed the ambience, the train and the fact that we were next to the ocean didn’t bother me. It was charming. I was especially impressed with the dessert. The chef custom makes a little desert for you at the end of your meal. I got a delicious little mascarpone thing and my husband a dark chocolate cake thing. Every now and then I think about it.

We went with the fire tasting menu which was very meat forward and honestly it was exactly what I wanted. Everything came out cooked perfectly but the crusted veal was the clear standout, tons of rich and complex flavors. We also did the 3 glass wine pairing and the sommelier really understood the assignment, every pairing just worked and elevated the dish without trying too hard. There was a slight moment right before our reservation where someone tried to cancel but after a quick conversation they were accommodating and got everything sorted Overall such a great experience and I’d definitely recommend La Capinera

We really enjoyed our evening at La Capinera! We had the tasting menu with 8 courses and chose a wine package with 4 glasses. The food was over all very good, and the service was even better! We felt very well taken care of during the entirety of our dining experience. We found it a little uncomfortable that there were no door locks in the bathroom.
