Cochon Butcher

Key Information

Cochon Butcher is a New Orleans establishment that pays tribute to Old-World butcher and charcuterie shops. They are renowned for making all their cured meats, sausages, and fresh cuts in-house with a team of five full-time butchers. The restaurant offers a casual, lively atmosphere focused on hearty, flavorful sandwiches and meat-centric dishes.

Customer Perception

Customers consistently praise Cochon Butcher for its outstanding sandwiches, particularly the Cubano and Buckboard Bacon Melt, as well as the flavorful fried chicken and mac & cheese. The atmosphere is described as lively and enjoyable, though it can be loud. Service is generally noted as friendly, attentive, and quick. Some charcuterie items were found to be quite salty, and the boudin's texture was not universally appealing, but overall, it's highly recommended for its top-notch food and butcher-shop vibe.
