Great farm-to-table concept right here in Bend. The food itself is solid—fresh, local ingredients that really deliver on quality.
Similar to Paul Thomas Anderson’s There Will Be Blood.
The farm-to-table aspect feels like Daniel Plainview building an empire from the dirt up. Everything on the plate feels earned, deliberate, and raw. They drink your milkshake, so to speak, when it comes to the flavors.
However, the speed of the service is a different story.
The wait times are about as long as Plainview’s path to oil riches, or as long as my buddy sat through the settlement talks with his ex-wife Janet.
Expect a slow burn. If you’re in a rush, this might test your patience, but if you’ve got time to sit back and appreciate the craft, it’s worth the sit
My husband and I came here for our anniversary dinner and it was wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious and there are so many unique options. Our server was Taylor and she was so sweet, so helpful, and so easy going. She also makes excellent cocktails. We will definitely be back!

We had a long list of places we wanted to try on our trip to Bend, ended up here on a whim, and we liked it so much that we came back a second night for appetizers before dinner! We sat at the bar both nights and had great service from the bartender. The chowder is *so* *SO* *SOOO* good. GET IT! Phenomenal oysters and delicious wine. I loved the light atmosphere that was thoughtfully and beautifully designed with gorgeous lighting. We will be back on our next visit to Bend!

Had amazing cocktails- the strawberry espresso martini was delicious, and the seasonal snow globe drink was super fun and tasty. The staff were friendly and clearly know their craft.
For food, I had the steak with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. The serving was generous and flavorful, and overall it was a great meal. My only tiny note is that the mashed potatoes were a bit cold, but everything else was awesome, including dessert and french press coffee!
Would definitely go back for that strawberry espresso martini and to try more drinks!
Definitely a strong choice for a relaxed but elevated dinner with great drinks!

The lighting hit me first — soft, golden, downright ethereal. It’s giving “Michelin star meets fairy realm,” tucked under an apartment complex that has no idea it’s housing culinary greatness below.
Cocktails? My husband went full lumberjack with a “hair-on-your-chest” Manhattan, while I had the Strawberry Espresso Martini — a drink that moonlights as dessert. Honestly, it was so good I briefly considered ordering a second one instead of dessert. (No regrets either way.)
We shared the crispy fries that somehow have a cheese-like texture — science can’t explain it — with chimichurri and house sauce that I would 100% put on everything I eat from now on.
Husband’s fish and chips were a server recommendation and a solid one. Crispy, flaky, golden perfection. Hook & Plow clearly doesn’t mess around with the “Hook” part of their name.
But my Lobster Bisque Risotto? Oh. My. Fork. Creamy, rich, dreamy — and gutsy. Gordon Ramsay made “lobster risotto” a dangerous game, but these guys play to win. Real lobster chunks, a hint of tomato from the bisque, and the kind of flavor that makes you rethink your life choices (in a good way).
In short: Hook & Plow hooked us in, plowed our expectations, and left us blissfully full and slightly glowing ourselves 🌟 Can’t wait to be back!
