Very popular spot so reserve a table online for no wait times. Food is great. We ordered french toast and monster breakfast with pancakes, everything was delicous! Coffee was good too! Restrooms are downstairs and clean. Service is friendly and the atmosphere is popping and fun! Overall, a great spot for a peppy start of the day!
Wide range of breakfast dishes with dining in or out and small park for the kiddos to burn energy across the street. Situated in almost an alley, this quirky place is also next door to a bakery for to-go pastry options. Popular place, so get your name in earlier rather than later. Great for breakfast or brunch or lunch.

Unfortunately, this was a huge disappointment. Even though there were plenty of empty tables, we had to wait a very long time to be seated because it seemed like there weren’t enough staff to take care of the guests. After placing our order, we waited another 30 minutes for our food to arrive, which was surprising considering we only ordered the French Toast and the Irish Benedict. We also ordered turkey bacon for our little daughter, as well as the Natalie’s Wellness Flight. The drinks were excellent very fresh and absolutely delicious.
The service, however, was extremely slow. Our server was kind and did a good job, but the hostess who greeted us, took us to our table, and handed us the menus was quite rude, which left a bad first impression. We were only visiting for a few days, and sadly, the time we set aside for this restaurant was simply not worth it. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

Loved the atmosphere and the caring staff at this location. Everything, even down to the food, was very vibrant colorful and full of energy. I ended up getting a very simple breakfast with a bacon add on. The home fries are pieces of potatoes mashed until they are flat, which I found very interesting. You could see the marks that were indented into the potato. Everything was seasoned very well and presented nicely. I will recommend setting up reservations here if the party is more than two, because it gets super busy around brunch, 9am to 11am.

We had an amazing breakfast at The Friendly Toast in Boston! The atmosphere is fun, colorful, and full of personality, making it a great place to start the day. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, with generous portions that definitely didn’t disappoint. The service was outstanding—our server was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Even though it was busy, everything came out quickly, and the entire experience was excellent. If you’re looking for a unique brunch spot with great food and even better service, The Friendly Toast is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!
