Sugar Rooftop offers a lively atmosphere in the heart of Brickell and is a great place to enjoy an evening with friends or a date night. The service is attentive, the cocktails are well-crafted, and the food is surprisingly good for a rooftop venue. The tropical setting and energetic crowd create a fun and enjoyable experience.
While Sugar is often considered one of the top rooftops in Miami, I personally found the view less impressive than expected. Although you can see parts of the Miami skyline, it lacks the breathtaking panoramic scenery that makes certain rooftops truly memorable. Compared to some of the iconic rooftop venues in New York City, the overall experience falls short, particularly when it comes to the view. Nevertheless, the excellent service, quality drinks, and vibrant atmosphere still make Sugar a worthwhile destination for a night out in Miami.
Amazing rooftop bar/restaurant experience in Brickell, downtown Miami area! Went there on a cold Sunday night for our anniversary, Bojana and Zully took great care of us, even gave us blankets to keep us warm at our table. Amazing skyline views all around, and love the vibes with trees and mood lighting. They do charge $100 per person minimum, but worth it for the experience, highly recommended!
Sugar is a beautiful rooftop in Brickell with great views, and we appreciated that it was easy to get in without a reservation. The cocktails are quite expensive, but they were well made and tasted great.
My only real criticism is the service. Since we weren’t ordering food, several staff members repeatedly asked us to stand instead of sitting, and even asked us to move so they could leave certain seating areas empty. We noticed they were doing the same thing to several other couples and groups, which made the atmosphere feel unwelcoming. Considering we spent around $150 on four cocktails, we expected to be treated with a bit more courtesy.
Overall, it’s a nice place for the views and drinks, but the hospitality could definitely be improved.
The ambiance was amazing! The earthy, sophisticated vibe combined with the beautiful downtown views and water truly sets this place apart. Corren was an exceptional server, attentive, knowledgeable, and personable throughout our visit. She offered excellent recommendations that enhanced our experience. From the atmosphere to the service, everything was top-notch. I look forward to returning!
We came to Sugar late at night and the view was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was beautiful and made for a perfect night out. We also had a few drinks and they were phenomenal well-crafted and delicious. It was a great experience and I’d definitely recommend visiting for the incredible views especially in the evening.
