Wow! Where do I begin? I've dined at a decent amount of Omakase places but have never experienced the meal I had last night @Mino. The quality of the food, the inventiveness, the attention to detail, service & hospitality are unmatched especially in Palm Beach & Broward counties. From the minute you arrive you're welcomed by David & his staff. Chef JM (formerly of MILA) & his assistant Jimmy take you on a journey to the waters off Japan, the Tokyo fishmarkets & down to NZ to source the freshest & best seafood imaginable. Everything from the plateware to stemware to the well thought out & priced wine/sake list is top notch. Whether it's their pickled ginger (takes 3-4 days), their playfulness w the menu or GM David's knowledge & passion of wines & sakes, Mino over delivers. I'm guaranteeing at least 1 Michelin ⭐️ when reviewed. W only 10 seats & 2 seatings get there quick before the line gets long. I'm excited to return to try their lounge menu of raw & cooked foods curated by Chef JM. Grab a glass or bottle & settle in for a separate menu (non sushi) from their Omakase. Mino is a fantastic addition to the dining scene in Boca
Hands down the best culinary experience in Boca Raton ever! Wow - each time we had visited , the chef always managed to elevate the food and experience.
Hard to eat sushi anywhere else now!
The staff and the management is super professional and experienced.
Can’t wait to go back!
Mino is an absolute phenomenal restaurant, and their food and service is Michelin quality. They have creative and thoughtfully composed dishes outside of the typical nigiri that make this experience difficult to find anywhere else in South Florida. Photographed are some of the appetizers and dessert courses (nigiri pieces not pictured). Everything was flawless. Better than all major Omakase restaurants in South Florida. Credits to the chefs and the staff for being so personable and kind. Would highly recommend!!!
I had my very first Omakase experience at Mino on Friday night and I don’t know how I will ever eat “regular” sushi again. The wine the manager suggested paired perfectly with the elegant dishes that were served by Chef JM. The food was perfection from the first course to the last. The service was on point during the entire experience. This is a must try Omakase experience.
I’ve done a lot of omakase experiences, and Mino in Boca Raton is on a completely different level.
From the moment you walk in, the experience feels intentional. The team runs like a machine but somehow still makes it feel personal. Chef JM is exceptional. You can tell immediately that every cut, every plate, every progression of courses is deliberate. There’s no filler here. Every single bite actually matters.
David, the manager, takes the experience over the top. He somehow remembers the small details that most places miss. I don’t drink alcohol, and without even asking twice, he has a zero alcohol Sapporo waiting for me in a perfectly frozen glass. That kind of attention to detail is rare and honestly sets the tone for the entire night.
The food itself… flawless. From the first course all the way through dessert, everything was executed at an incredibly high level. Clean flavors, perfect balance, and just the right amount of creativity without trying too hard. Even the pickled ginger stood out, which says everything you need to know about how much care goes into every component.
And for anyone who appreciates Japanese whisky, their selection is seriously impressive. My wife was obsessed.
This is not just dinner. It’s an experience that’s been thought through from start to finish. Boca doesn’t have many places like this.
If you’re even considering it, go.
