The best restaurant in Bar Harbor. They carry excellent local beers and good selection of wines. Food was amazing. Mussels were super fresh and the broth was so good with garlic bread. Paella was the best, better than the paella I had in Barcelona. Scallops were out of this world. Unbelievably cooked. Also. The service was very personal and professional. This is the best restaurant in Bar Harbor.
My wife and I got married roughly a month ago and we are here in Acadia for mini-moon trip, Havana was by far our best meal on Mount Desert Island and our server, Ale G, was THE absolute best. She displayed professionalism but had an incredibly fun sense of humor that helped make our meal and night perfect. 10/10. The sommelier was incredibly knowledgeable. His advice led us to the perfect French Riesling from Alsace. Highly recommend getting a Cuban coffee with ANY dessert.

This restaurant was one of the highlights of our Bar Harbor trip. The food was so good we went twice for dinner. The first time I ordered the lobster moqueca, which was super flavorful with fresh lobster, and the second time I got the lamb chops. They were tender and cooked just right. My husband and mil also ordered the paella on both nights. The mussels in the paella weren’t the freshest, but the flavor absolutely made up for it.
From the moment we walked in the door we felt like the special guests of the evening. The service was timely but not overbearing. Our waiter was excellent. Then the drinks and the food arrived and it was some of the best seafood we’ve eaten. The seafood paella was loaded with lobster, mussels, shrimp, and the best scallops we’ve ever had. The scallops were so tender and buttery they melted in your mouth and they were huge! The portions were on the larger side and we had leftovers even though we are big eaters. I had the Lobster Moqueca which had the best flavor and was super comforting and warm. We also had the mussels as an appetizer and they were divine especially the broth they came in. The drinks were great too. Overall it is pricey, but it is a level above anything else we’ve had in Bar Harbor and the seafood is plentiful! Great for a special occasion! The only negative thing I can say is the lobster was slightly overcooked and chewy in the Moqueca, but I think that is because it’s sitting in a very hot curry sauce. Regardless it was very tasty!
My wife and I had an absolutely INCREDIBLE experience here at Havana. I say experience and not just meal because everything was a 12/10. We sat on their front patio and they were extremely accommodating! We brought our dog with us, they gave him water and were so welcoming and friendly to us. They brought my wife blankets after the wind picked up and she was cold…our server Jess was so sweet and kind. This kind of service truly astounded me!
The food was a 12/10! Cocktails were amazing, highly recommend the spring rolls!! And the scallops were the best I’ve ever had. We may have been the last people to leave, they didn’t pressure us at all. We were so relaxed and got the date cake for dessert, wow….it was so good. This place deserves all the praise in the world. Havana made such a wonderful experience for me, my wife and our dog :) I can’t recommend this place enough.
