Jeannie's Great Maine Breakfast is a locally owned breakfast restaurant in Bar Harbor, Maine, known for its hearty 'Great Maine Breakfast' and other classic American breakfast dishes. It recently moved to a new location at 8 Cottage St. The restaurant is popular and often crowded, offering a casual dining experience with a self-serve coffee pot at the table for convenience.
Customers generally praise Jeannie's for its delicious food, generous portions, and friendly, attentive service, with specific commendations for servers like Kristin and Erin. The blueberry pancakes and Lobster Benedict are frequently highlighted as outstanding. However, some reviews mention the food can be a little bland and occasionally overpriced. The restaurant is noted for being very popular and crowded, often requiring a wait, and some found the seating arrangements to be too close for comfort. There were isolated comments about cleanliness (e.g., lipstick on a coffee mug) and the quality of some ingredients (e.g., pre-cooked sausage).
Jeannie's Great Maine Breakfast recently relocated to 8 Cottage St in Bar Harbor, having a soft opening on April 29th. It is a locally owned establishment.
The restaurant is very busy and crowded, especially on Sunday mornings, with waits of 30 minutes or more. It is recommended to visit earlier in the morning to avoid the peak crowds.
