Giuseppe's Kitchen is a highly acclaimed plant-based Italian food concept, founded by chef Giuseppe. It gained significant popularity as a pop-up at Boxhall in Liverpool Street, London, known for its authentic, Nonna-inspired recipes and handmade pasta. Giuseppe also co-authored the "Cooking With Nonna" cookbook. While its initial pop-up run at Boxhall concluded around April 2026, the brand and chef Giuseppe continue to operate, with plans to announce future locations or events.
Customer feedback is overwhelmingly positive, praising the delicious, high-quality, and authentic plant-based Italian food, often described as "outstanding" and even "Michelin star worthy" in a casual setting. The tiramisu (especially the mini egg version) and various pasta dishes (Rosso, Bolognese) were frequently highlighted as standouts. Common themes in reviews include long queues, daily sell-outs, and a vibrant atmosphere. While some acknowledged the significant online hype, a few reviews suggested certain dishes could benefit from more seasoning.
Additional Details
The culinary concept is deeply rooted in traditional Italian cooking, drawing inspiration from chef Giuseppe's grandmother, a connection highlighted by his collaborative cookbook, "Cooking With Nonna." The venture began as a pop-up at Boxhall, a deliberate choice to establish its presence in the market through genuine culinary merit.
During its pop-up run, it was recommended to visit early, before noon, to avoid the long queues that would quickly form during the lunch period, especially with office workers. The tiramisu could sometimes be purchased with a shorter wait.

Have followed Giuseppe for a long time on IG, enjoyed seeing him cook with his Nonna and help bring positive awareness to plant-based eating so I was looking forward to seeing how social media recipes would translate to a real world kitchen experience.
I was pleasantly surprised to find the food on offer was much better than expected and exceeded the quality of many restaurants I've been too.
It's a small menu which I liked. The Bolognese was tasty and the meatballs meaty tasting. The aranci was thick and crunchy. The tiramisu was exceptional, if a bit on the sweet side. It was a mini egg version when we went.
The queue wasn't too bad, it was the only stall with one so if you do go expect a bit of a wait.
Open until the end of April, so if you want some nice Italian vegan/plant-based eating then I'd definitely recommend Giuseppe's Kitchen.
Great pop up by Sepps! The red pasta and tiramisu was a standout. Can’t wait to try the other flavours.
Note: I appreciate his efforts and that this is his first time but it is very very influencer heavy and I’m not sure the feedback I’m seeing online is necessarily a reflection of what’s coming out of the kitchen. It’s great but definitely not the best in London. The pesto arancini lacked flavour but was super crispy. The pistachio pasta was under seasoned and needed lemon or something to lift it. We actually struggled to finish it. Also the meatballs desperately needed salt. It was by no means bad but just be mindful what you see online as ever video is saying it’s the best vegan in London 🤨
Flavours should also change to attract repeat customers. Dishes were good but not strong enough to return just for that.
First off ………. THIS IS WHAT LONDON HAS BEEN SCREAMING FOR!!! 😍
Finally, got down to see Sepps this afternoon for early lunch and it was everything we knew it would be. The Rosso and the Tiramisu stole the show and it’s all absolutely outstanding, delicious, plant based, traditional, Nonna inspired Italian comfort food. I genuinely can’t praise Sepps, the food and his team enough.
We got there at noon and it was chill but within 20 mins all the office peeps arrived for lunch and the queue swelled quickly. Easily the busiest stall and queue in the food hall and Honestly, if this isn’t the start of something big for you guys then I don’t know is. I wish you all the good vibes and luck in the world. We will always be there to eat your food! 😍
This is also a 6 week pop up and next week is the final week so get down there and get involved.
Side note - There’s a couple of very questionable reviews on here from the haters as per usual that are either jealous or have no taste buds. Ignore them and get down there and be the judge for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.

I visited Giuseppe’s Kitchen today and honestly… this place is on another levl 😍
The fact that it sells out daily says everything you need to know — people aren’t just coming here, they’re coming back again and again. Evry dish was packed with flavour, beautifully presented, and you can tell real passion goes into the food.
As someone who’s tried a lot of vegan spots, this is easily one of the best. The textures, the creativity, the balance — it genuinely feels like fine dining in a casual setting.
I don’t say this lightly, but this is Michelin star worthy. If it’s not on that path already, it definitely will be soon.
And the chef? Honestly feels like the next Gordon Ramsay — the attention to detail and quality is unreal.
If you’re even thinking about going, don’t hesitate… just make sure you get there early before it sells out.
You may see reviews saying it’s “not all that”
Pitbull often shares a motivational philosophy that if you are not getting hated on, you "ain't doing it right". He explains that haters are actually a sign of success, indicating you are leveling up, making progress, and creating noise, which should be used as fuel to work harder.
I got there 10.30am and waited 30 minutes travelled total of 90 minutes.

I am a little bias but the food was honestly incredible. I’ve tried everything but eat most before I remembered to take a picture. The creamy rosso rigatoni with extra chili oil is what I ordered and it was delicious - it was cooked to perfection, nothing I hate more than limp pasta (you can always tell if an Italian is inauthentic if the pasta is soft). This week’s tiramisu is mini egg and it is absolutely incredible, I’ve had 3 this week already. The Sicilian salad was a nice touch, I try to add some vegetables with my carbs and it didn’t disappoint.
If you come during the lunch or dinner period, there is a bit of a queue but it was worth it - you can actually skip the queue in busy periods if you’re just buying tiramisu so I haven’t always had to wait long. The staff were lovely and helpful. The atmosphere is great and it’s nice to get a quick bite to eat with actual crockery and cutlery.
Overall great experience, it’s a shame it’s not there longer!
