Omg from the greeting at the door to the cultural decor, this mom & pop Puerto Rican kitchen is golden! Our first time try Amy’s Pastelillo was beyond memorable! I ordered the shredded chicken pastelillo combo with arroz con grandules! Can’t wait to visit again!

Absolutely Delicious! A Must-Try Spot! Today was our first time visiting Amy’s Pastellios, and to say we enjoyed it would be an understatement. We originally discovered it through a post on Instagram, and since my brother lives in PA, we decided to give it a try—and we’re so glad we did! The flavors were on point! I’m a pretty picky eater, but every flavor combination we tried absolutely hit the spot. My personal favorites were the yuca and gandules pastellitos (which are vegan!), the fried cheese with guava, the arroz con gandules, and the yuca en escabeche—all full of flavor and beautifully balanced. My family also loved the chicken, beef, margarita, and mushrooms with cheese options. Each one had its own distinct taste and was clearly made with care and quality ingredients. I wish I had taken better pictures (I snapped them mid-meal because we couldn’t wait to dig in!), but trust me—the food speaks for itself. We’ll definitely be back!

I grew up with and around Boricuas my whole life, so when I saw a highly rated rican spot, I happily made my way over. I absolutely loved the interior design, the music, and the friendly service. I wish that reflected in the food :( I was in disbelief from the mediocre food, even worse when I got food poisoning from their pollito (chicken) bowl. The tostones were pleasant! I loved crunchiness and saltiness paired with the avocado which made me look forward to eating the rest of the bowl. When I took the first bite of chicken, it was barely warm and shockingly seasonless. The arroz con gandules was nothing like I've had before. It had this cheesy like (or something similar) after taste. Maybe it was the ancho or cumin they used. I couldn't taste the sofrito at all. That's the holy grail for this type of rice!! I kept eating it because I wanted to it a fair chance. Perhaps it's a different style or an off day. As I kept forking my food, I noticed there was a pool of grease and water on the bottom of my bowl. I hate food waste, but I had to regrettably trash the rest. I was willing to come back, honestly. Until I had food poisoning, that was enough to discourage me from coming back.

I love Amy's Pastelillos! After hearing so much about them in the news and their many awards, our team was excited to have them participate in a food tour event by having them cater trays of pastelillos to our event. They were extremely careful with our order and even helped us with a few accommodations. These were such a hit and extremely fulfilling. I can't wait to go back for more.

Get your pre-concert/sports event tailgating food here. That’s what I did. Awesome takeaway/delivery stop. Food is authentic and delicious. Prices are also very reasonable.
