Key Information
Tierra Restaurante is a modern restaurant in Bogotá's Chapinero district, known for its innovative fusion of Japanese, Peruvian, and Colombian cuisines. It features an open kitchen and a stylish ambiance.
Customer Perception
Customers consistently praise Tierra for its spectacular and creative dishes, with many highlighting the sensational appetizers and unique flavor combinations. The service is generally described as great, and the restaurant is noted for having good vegetarian options. Some reviewers mention that the pricing is on the higher side but is justified by the quality of the food. A few found the main dishes to be a bit repetitive in flavor profile, and the menu can be extensive, making choices difficult for some.
Additional Details
The restaurant opened in 2019 and is noted for its pet-friendly atmosphere. The open kitchen allows diners to observe the chefs at work.
That was a surprise! Friends invited us here and the food was spectacular. Worth the higher pricing but the taste explains why. They have good vegetarian options! We loved the transparent kitchen and the service was als great. We had a great time. Try the coco lemonade
The apetizers were sensational. I had the octopus and pork belly. Especially the pork belly was phenomenal!
One good thing is they portion the entries for your party size and I am alone so they portioned it for solo dinners (and discounted the price accordingly which was amazing).
The octopus however can’t be rationed to one so I got the full size at 69000pesos. A bit much but it worthies it.
But I was quite disappointed at the main dish which was the short ribs as google maps recommended. The sauce and the ingredients used (mashed sweet potato? Or sth) was too repetitive it felt almost the same as the ones in the octopus dish. They all have a main theme which is sweet and sour. So when I have had three sweet and sour dishes in a row it felt boring.
They offer such a big menu and I found it is way too hard to choose honestly.
Overall good experience.

I visited this restaurant after it was recommended to me for the food. The service was amazing from start to finish, and I really appreciated that it’s pet-friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
As for the food, it was well prepared and the ingredients seemed fresh and high quality. However, I didn’t find the flavors particularly memorable or unique—they were good, but nothing mind-blowing. Considering the price, it felt a bit expensive for a regular lunch.
My recommendation would be to order several dishes to share rather than sticking to a single main course. Sampling a variety of items gives you a much better sense of what the restaurant offers and makes for a more enjoyable dining experience overall.
Overall, a pleasant place with excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere, but the food itself may not fully justify the price if you’re expecting something extraordinary.

While visiting Columbia, I had the chance to eat at Tierra Columbia, an Asian/Colombian fusion spot, and it was a great experience.
My favorite dish was the gyoza pot stickers—they were excellent. The menu is unique and worth exploring, especially if you like trying different flavors.
Portion sizes are on the smaller side, so if you’re planning to split dishes with the table, you’ll probably want to order a bit more than usual.
Rosa was our waitress and did a terrific job helping us navigate the menu. Overall, a really enjoyable meal.

This restaurant is my new obsession! The food was excellent!
I loved waking through the open kitchen and seeing everything when walking in. The chefs all greeted me as I walked by and their attention to details, with the food, was noticable.
The menu selection is very large and it was actually very difficult to choose! It all sounded soo good. I asked the waitress and she helped with suggestions.
I started with the Mango and Passion Fruit with Ice Cream Ceviche. I have admit I was skeptical judging from the name but this was superb. It's a must try! The flavors were balanced with a great tropical vibe and the cold, creamy ice cream was an amazing complement to the sweet and traditionally acidic ceviche. WOW 😋
My second course was the Charcoal Octopus. The legs were well cooked and the flavor was good. I tend to prefer savory over sweet, so I enjoyed the cheese that cut through the sweetness of the plantain mash. A bit more of the greens or maybe the chili, to cut the sweetness, might be a nice touch. I also would have liked a little more of the crispy bits but I'm being a bit picky now. Overall the dish was good, but I will try the Roasted Octopus next time.
For my main I chose the Coconut Fish with Prawns. This was super yummy. The fish was cooked perfectly and the sauce it was served over paired well. It came with a separate bowl of veggies that was a nice addition. There was a great mix of vegetables and they were all delicious. I think they accidentally oversalted them but it was not objectionable. It kinda helped with the very rich fish dish. I didn't notice the "coconut" in the dish but I also didn't mind because it tasted great. Another top notch choice.
The food service was pretty good. I was at the table next to the kitchen so I got to watch things being prepared. The food was always delivered quickly and placed with the presentation side will displayed. However, it took quite a while to order, get the bill and pay. The waitress seemed very busy with other tables and I didn’t see her much. I had to take a napkin from the table next to me because there was no one I could ask.
I will DEFINITELY be eating here again and I strongly suggest you do as well. Welcome to your new favorite restaurant in Bogota...
