The Shed SA1

Visited on a Sunday lunchtime. The food here is usually excellent, but I was disappointed with my veggie option and my companion also thought that the roast lamb was not up to the usual standard. However the starters were delicious. The service was very good and the staff are very attentive and knowledgeable.

Popped into The Shed for Valentine's day. The menu looked great, so we asked for a table for 2. Service was great and our meals were very nicely made. The complimentary bread was extremely moreish. I found it a very refreshing change to have food that was already seasoned to perfection on arrival. Nothing was bland. We had a Ribeye Steak and fried Haddock (the last one that day!) Both meals were excellent. Well worth a visit if you're in the SA1 area of Swansea.

Enjoyed most of the food, loved the potted crab and the liver parfait for starters, cockle croquettes also good. For mains the Skate was especially good. Sides were fine but desserts were excellent, loved the Strawberry trifle and the rice pudding. Drinks wise they had a good selection of wines available by the glass. Service was very cold, certainly not something I'm used to, I don't think any of the staff wanted to be there, my elderly parents felt very unwelcome and have said they'll never go back which is a shame. Staff didn't even bother explaining the cheeses on the cheese board. Definitely worth a visit if you appreciate this type of cooking

The food was delicious! The servings were very generous and the dishes were very unique. Regular water refills. Really lovely ambience, could see chefs in kitchen and the music was quiet so it was really calm. Very non-oppressive atmosphere not like a lot of other restaurants. And so affordable! Only £28 for 3 courses. I thought it was Michelin star when I went, turns out it isn’t but I wouldn’t have been surprised if it was.
