Sushi Nakazawa is one of those special New York experiences. I dream about the Omokase on the regular. Sit at the chefs counter if possible, makes the whole experience more fun to chat with the sushi chefs! Reservations can be hard to come by but it’s definitely worth the wait!

Every piece of sushi is phenomenal! The touch and twist was so spot on. Very good lineup of sake selection. Stand out! I don’t understand the western and modern interior design though.

Of course, you don’t get to see master Nakazawa. But the Omakase course was still carefully prepared with high quality of ingredients and chef’s skills. For $250/pax, very compelling.

I still think Nakazawa is one of the best omakase in the city without breaking the bank. We sat at the sushi counter, its 21 pieces with the ability to add on additional pieces. Food was excellent, service was super attentive, staff was friendly/polite, and the chefs were engaging. I would def recommend checking out the restaurant.

An unreal experience from start to finish. Every course was beautifully presented, impeccably fresh, and perfectly balanced in flavor. The fish melted in your mouth, and the attention to detail was evident in every bite. The intimate counter setting elevated the experience, allowing you to appreciate the precision and artistry behind each dish. Service was warm, attentive, and seamlessly paced, creating a refined yet welcoming atmosphere. Everything was simply delicious. A standout omakase in New York and absolutely worth returning to.
