Proper neighbourhood grocery shop with a lovely sense of community. I often have coffee here with my husband but he’s always the one to pop in and grab it. More fool me- my first time going inside today and my dog and I were welcomed warmly- not even 9am on a Sunday and the store was buzzing with swimmers having coffee. Even the people making a stock delivery were super friendly! Excellent vibes, can’t wait to come in when I have a bit more time to browse.
I recently visited Superette on Swain’s Lane and loved it. The coffee - the oat flat white is unreal, and the sandwiches on offer are seriously one of the best in London. They also have a great selection of high-quality groceries.

Others don't like the store cum cafe, but I do. The staff are great and there's a relaxed vibe. Best of all, they don't freak like I walked in with a camel when I have my Brompton with me 🙄

I’m not one to leave such a negative review but if I could give a zero star I would. Waited for over 15mins for a pre-made sandwich to be toasted. They ignored me at the till, then got the order wrong, so I asked for a new sandwich, they threw the correct one in the oven for 60seconds (so it wasn’t toasted to the middle and the cheese was still hard) I went back and asked for a refund at this point as this was not worth £10:50. no emotion no genuine apology from the lady who was responsible for my order. She accused me of having ‘negative energy’ so no accountability or responsibility from her. This isn’t the first time I’ve had a bad experience but the one that made me finally leave a negative review. Go to Gail’s or bagel instead.

Superette sells Foie Gras which is unnecessary and cruel. As such, I left without purchasing anything and put my items back. It is illegal to produce in the UK and shops importing it says alot about their ethics. I will not support businesses who support cruel practices for monetary gain.
