My husband took me here for my birthday and it was such a great choice! First time trying Ukrainian food and honestly everything was so good. The vibe of this place is really something ~the decor is so unique and beautiful, unlike any restaurant I’ve been to. Love the warm candle lighting and all the little details. Thank you for the special birthday treat too ~really made my night. Will definitely be back!
Eastern European Ukrainian and Russian influence. The staff are top notch, if you can, sit at the bar. You will understand after you get to know the bar tender, he is great! We had 3 small dishes and dessert.
Pashtet was excellent - very unique flavor and rye bread was perfect pairing.
Varenyky was good and my impression fits the style of restaurant versus country home style varenyky. Very good.
Ovochi was excellent. Solid and hardy flavors. Robust pairing of smoked crème with radish and greens, slight hint of sardine to round it out. I could have this every day.
For dessert we had the Medovik honey cake. This was excellent. I do wish they tried fresh strawberries instead of cooked - but that is my personal preference. It was extremely light, not overly sweet, excellent flavor.
The only two dishes I wish I could have tried were red borsch (not in season) and the Holubsti/Holybsti.

Sudova was a fantastic, 5/5 eastern european dinner on a drizzly weeknight in Cincinnati. Service was exceptional throughout, with great recommendations and helpful context for different dishes. The actual space inside was relaxed, but upscale and full of positive energy. The menu wasn't massive, but had a nice swathe of options with probably something for everyone. The actual dishes we received were phenomenal - fresh, inventive, and full of flavor. The salted cod dumplings with caviar were, legitimately, among the best bites I've had this year. Absolutely will be back next time I'm in the area and would recommend others to go out of their way to visit.

Eastern Europe brings its delicious comfort foods to Cincinnati delivered with excellence from the hand of Beard nominee Chef Sarah Dworak. An excellent wine list (including Slovenian and Hungarian choices) compliments the interesting menu. Cheesy Khachapuri began our dinner with mains following of savory salmon Kulebiaka and the comfort of chicken Kotleta. Both dishes were very flavorful with the puff pastried Kulebiaka the Allstar at the table! So happy to have such wonderful food adding another top notch page to Cincinnati dining. We'll be back.

I was totally blown away by this place - one of the best Cincy food experiences I've had. The flavors on all the dishes I had were amazing. My favorite was the Cod Pelmeni and Kulebiaka. The recommendation is to get a couple of dishes to split, offering small and large dishes, as well as dumplings. They also have a very unique wine menu - Eastern European to match the food. I had a Ribolla Gialla and Pinot Noir, both from Slovenia, which were very good. The staff was very friendly as well. I would highly recommend this place!
