Dear Kroger Customer Service Team,
I wanted to take a moment to share a very meaningful experience my family had at one of your stores while visiting Cincinnati. It involved one of your employees named Nancy, whose kindness and quick action made a stressful moment turn into something I will never forget.
While driving through the city with my four-year-old daughter, she suddenly told me she urgently needed to use the bathroom. I pulled into a CVS as quickly as I could and rushed her inside while carrying her, hoping to get her to a restroom in time. Unfortunately, I was told the bathroom was no longer available to the public. I left feeling frustrated and worried that my little girl was going to have an embarrassing accident.
I quickly buckled her back into the car and drove to the nearest Kroger. When we rushed to the restrooms at the back of the store, I discovered the door required a cell phone and an app to unlock it. In my hurry to help my daughter, I had left my phone in the car. At that point I felt completely helpless and panicked, watching my daughter struggle and knowing she might not make it.
I walked through the store desperately trying to find someone who could help us, and that’s when I met Nancy.
I quickly explained the situation and how urgent it was. Without hesitation, Nancy immediately stopped what she was doing and walked us back to the restrooms. The family restroom door wouldn’t open, so she stood nearby and safely held the women’s restroom door so my daughter could go inside by herself while I waited right outside.
When my daughter finished, she couldn’t reach the sink or soap. Nancy kindly asked if it was okay for her to lift my daughter up so she could wash her hands. I was able to stand right there and see them, and Nancy gently helped her clean up.
In that moment, Nancy truly felt like an angel. She treated my daughter with kindness, patience, and care during what could have been a very upsetting situation. Her compassion made a huge difference for both of us.
Please know that her actions did not go unnoticed. Experiences like this are what make customers remember a company for life. I am incredibly grateful that Kroger has employees like Nancy who are willing to go out of their way to help others.
Thank you again for employing people who show such genuine care and humanity.
