I’ve been to Stars twice now and already feel like it’s becoming one of my favorite cozy spots in the East Village. The interior, music, and overall vibe make it such a cute place to catch up with a friend or have a chill night out. I also really appreciate their nonalcoholic drink options since I don’t drink. Shoutout to Jessica, who was my server both times. So welcoming and fun to talk to!
One thing to note: it’s a pretty tiny space, so seating is limited and the wait can get long. I personally didn’t mind too much because the vibe makes it worth it, but I’d definitely recommend getting there early if you want a seat. The bar opens at 4pm, and the first time we went, we showed up about 15 minutes before opening and were able to get seats at the zinc bar. Probably not the best spot for larger groups, but perfect for dates or low-key 1:1 hangs.
adore this spot. such cute vibes and a great spot to catch up with some girlfriends, have a lil date night or get a solo drink. the wine is great and we will be sure to get some snacks next time. put your name down and get a drink or dinner somewhere and come back an hour or 2 later.
This is a fun wine bar. We went right at opening and got two seats right away. Knowledgeable bartenders who love to talk about wine. An eclectic wine list that has interesting wines and not your normal standbys. The food selections were fun and delicious. Cool kid playlist that’s a hair too loud with the gigantour speaker and low lighting that set the mood…
…Until one hour and 10 minutes in, the bartender just unceremoniously dropped off the check without us asking for it. There was no wait for seats – in fact, there were four seats at the bar open. It’s 5:15, so there’s no line out of the door. We were into our third glass of wine, and the Square tablet was dropped off with a “Thanks guys for coming in.” No warning, no heads-up. This is the antithesis of hospitality, and I am probably going to cross their sister restaurants off my list if this is the type of hospitality they provide.

Its unfortunate that the wine list at stars is eclectic and full of suprises and the staff is super knowledgable. Its unfortunate that the food here rocks and could change the mind of any small plates hater. Really unfortunate that the vibe is immaculate sexy and friendly. Unfortunately this is the best wine bar in New York City. It's so unfortunate because soon the whole world will know, and there won't be enough room for little old me come summer when the doors swing open and light floods in and white wine just tastes so good
I ordered Falkenstein White wine and Brandini. Those Wine was so gooddddd. I would recommend for people who love sweet wine. Also, server Grace is amazing. I definitely come back 🫶🏻
