Sfoglina is an ode to the Italian Dolce Vita and the craft of handmade pasta, inspired by Italy's female pasta makers (sfogline). It is part of Fabio Trabocchi Restaurants and is known for its fresh, house-made pasta, charming whimsical design, and comfortable patios for al fresco dining. The Downtown location is temporarily closed for renovation from July 4 to early September, but sister locations in Van Ness and Rosslyn remain open.
Customers consistently praise Sfoglina for its delicious handmade pasta, attentive and friendly service, and inviting atmosphere. Many describe it as a great spot for special occasions, appreciating the classy ambiance, unique decor, and cozy patio dining. While some find it slightly expensive, they generally agree it's worth the price for the quality and experience.
Sfoglina offers a corkage policy at $75 per bottle. Parking validation is available for the Downtown location. The restaurant has multiple locations in Washington D.C., including Downtown, Van Ness, and Rosslyn.
Daily happy hour is offered from 3-6 pm. Weekday evenings, such as Wednesdays, have been noted as quiet and welcoming, making them ideal for a relaxed dining experience.
