Solid local bar serving a good selection of beers and decent pub grub. I see why they won best wings! The wings are great with the chiodi sauce. Sweet heat with some garlic... delicious. Great friendly service and the bar has a great local 5 star dive bar feel.
This was our first time trying Holy City. We were so excited to try the wings and the Chiodi sauce we’ve heard so much about. The wings and sauce were AMAZING. Unfortunately everything else wasn’t. We arrived about 11:40, first customers in the place. We placed our order for wings and Irish nachos. We waited about 40 minutes before the Irish nachos came out mushy and cold. No crunch at all, just soggy chips soaked in grease. We’re assuming they just sat in the kitchen for a while. Our waitress wasn’t attentive at all. Especially considering at this point it was just us and one another table. She was more worried about her phone and her name being announced for something. Our wings came out about 10 minutes after our Irish nachos. A total wait time of 50 minutes for our wings. The table behind us that arrived about 25 minutes after us, also received their wings at that time. If it wasn’t for the Chiodi wings being so good, I would have rated this place 1 star. Very bad customer service and the St. Patrick’s Day decorations hanging from the ceiling should be cleaned or removed. It was kinda gross eating and staring at the dust and cobwebs hanging from them.

Some of the best wings in Jersey. The maple hot and the chiodi were as good as advertised. We'll definitely be back to try some more.

This place has the best wings I have had in a long time. The reason I gave four stars is, this was our first time getting food here. We called for takeout and ordered maple bbq wings and an order orange marmalade wings. When we got home they had packed the maple bbq no orange marmalade instead they gave us hot wings. So that was a bit disappointing and when we called they said sorry and that was it. Hopefully if we order again it will be right.

Came for the wings and was disappointed. Wings were naked, decent size, but overcooked, almost petrified. Service started out very slow but got better with evening crew. My friend's roast beef sandwich was very dry, had to ask for au jus which came out in tiny cup. Fries were cold and not good. Maybe it was an off day for the kitchen. Cozy dive bar fun atmosphere.
