Good lord this meal was amazing. This restaurant works on every level from the food, decor, service. If like mussels you have to order the mussels fra diavalo. It’s an umami bomb with stewed tomatoes that taste like they have been simmering for days. One of the best dishes I’ve had all year.
The sweet corn agnolotti was rich, decadent and insanely good. We ordered the 6 oz Entrana steak and it was perfect. Our server Thanh did an incredible job of guiding us to this cut. The steak was very beefy with a hint of smoke.
We finished the meal with the basque cheesecake which was tart from the goat cheese with a fresh berry topping.
This restaurant is so damn good and I can’t wait to come back.
Modern and classic all in one, is how I’d describe Porzana. This was a great dining experience overall. The decor, vibe and the friendly staff all provided a warm welcome. Enjoyed Easter brunch with my sons and an elderly family friend, seated upstairs near a sunny south-facing window in the corner, allowing easier conversation. Our sever was very attentive and the fare was excellent - very fresh, colorful, flavorful and beautifully plated. I will to return for dinner soon and dine downstairs.

Came in expecting a great meal, but what I experienced felt far more intentional than just dining out. From the pacing to the execution, everything flowed in a way that made the night feel curated, not rushed.
We ordered the grain-fed ribeye with chimichurri, mushrooms, Caesar salad with fried oysters, lobster pasta, a Torina cocktail, and ended with the chocolate gelato. Every dish came out well-paced and thoughtfully prepared. The ribeye was cooked perfectly, rich and flavorful, and the chimichurri gave it just the right lift. The mushrooms were deeply savory, the Caesar with fried oysters was a nice touch, and the lobster pasta was balanced in a way that didn’t feel heavy.
The chocolate gelato to finish was exactly what it needed to be. Rich, smooth, and satisfying without overdoing it.
I paired my meal with a glass of Arnot-Roberts Cab Sauvignon (Sonoma 2023), and Tim confirmed it was the best choice for what we ordered. He was very personable, knew the menu well, and made the experience feel easy.
Service overall was on point. The table was cleared and reset between courses, which kept everything feeling clean and intentional without interrupting the flow. The space itself is upscale casual with an industrial feel, exposed brick, warm, comfortable, the kind of place you can settle into.
We spent about $250 for three people and shared everything, and it felt well worth it for the quality and experience.
I value intention when I dine out, and this felt like a restaurant that understands how to build a full experience, not just serve food. If they maintain this level of consistency, I will absolutely be back the next time I’m in Minnesota.

I photographed an intimate wedding at Porzana in North Loop Minneapolis, and the atmosphere truly stood out. Warm, cozy, and incredibly inviting from the moment you walk in.
The team was attentive, kind, and created such a welcoming environment for everyone. As a Minneapolis wedding photographer, I pay close attention to how a space feels throughout the day, and Porzana makes it easy for people to relax and be present.
The candlelight, thoughtful service, and overall energy of the space came together beautifully and created a very intimate experience. And the food was absolutely incredible. Truly one of the highlights of the evening.
If you’re looking for a restaurant wedding venue in Minneapolis or planning a smaller, more intimate celebration, Porzana is a wonderful choice.

Excellent atmosphere, food, and service. We had a very attentive server that was very knowledgeable about the food and drinks and was able to give us great recommendations. While everything was truly great, our favorite was the empanadas. It was my partner’s birthday and we were given complimentary champagne and dessert. This is a perfect date night spot when you are looking for top notch service, food, wine, cocktails, and ambience. We will definitely be back.
