I ordered through Uber Eats from Motek with high expectations, since I had previously dined at their location in Brickell City Centre and had a great experience. Unfortunately, this order was extremely disappointing.
I ordered a crispy eggplant (buy one get one free), a lamb shawarma bowl, and a chicken shawarma bowl. In total, I paid $98 for four items, plus a $5.55 tip. I always tip out of respect for the delivery work, so I made sure to include it despite the already high cost.
The eggplant arrived completely soggy and overly greasy, not crispy at all. Both bowls arrived cold — the meat and rice — and in very poor condition: everything was mixed together, smashed, and poorly packaged. The portions were surprisingly small, with very little vegetables.
Given the price, I expected at minimum hot, properly handled food. Instead, the presentation and condition made it very unappetizing. Even more concerning, the food quality itself was not good — it was not enjoyable and ended up being inedible.
I understand that delivery can affect presentation, but cold food, poor portions, and overall quality point to issues beyond just transport. This order did not meet basic expectations for food safety, quality, or value.
I ordered hoping to share a meal with my family, and it turned into a complete waste. I am very disappointed and would not order again under these conditions.
