A brilliant local drinks shop with a great selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. The staff are friendly, welcoming and always up for a chat. The cosy seating area is an unexpectedly lovely place to relax and meet new local people!
I have used Leith Bottle Shop for several years now, and have always been impressed by their excellent selection of beers! Plus, their customer service is superb - both friendly (thanks, Michael!) and knowledgeable! Five stars well deserved on all fronts!

Love this shop. Amazing beer selection, always a friendly welcome, and what a great thing to be able to choose something then sit down and drink it in the window. Very chilled. Colin is a fantastic host. Nice whisky and spirits selection too. Can't recommend highly enough.

Edit: Offered to email me- never responded.😞
I was in the shop looking after a large dog and carrying two bottles at the till. The dog became excited and tried to say hello to the male cashier with long hair and go behind the counter, and while I was trying to manage the dog and balance everything without spilling anything, the man was understandably a bit annoyed. I completely accept that I was responsible for the dog and apologized for the inconvenience.
What upset me was the response I received. The cashier commented that I “needed more muscles” for the dog, and when I explained that my boyfriend usually helps me with situations like this, he replied that my “boyfriend should be here.” I had already apologized and was doing my best to manage an awkward situation, so I found these comments unnecessarily unkind and a bit sexist…
I wasn’t expecting special treatment, just a bit of patience and courtesy. Everyone has awkward moments, and I left feeling embarrassed and upset by the comments. I normally really like coming here but I don’t think I feel comfortable coming here again.
